I have been reading folks are unhappy with the addition of Everybody Loves Raymond & The Golden Girls.

My question is do you think Me TV+ will take the original Me TV line up of

6pm-8pm MASH
8pm-9pm Andy Griffith
9pm Beverly Hillbillies
9:30pm M, W, F Green Acres/ T, TH Gomer Pyle
10pm-11pm Hogans Heroes
11pm Carol Burnett

Its possible but I don't think so. Weigel has enough channels that cater to every genre of shows:

MeTV main - famous sitcoms
Catchy Comedy - more sitcoms
H&I - modern drama with some classic action shows
MeTV plus - anything that didn't do well ratings wise on the channels above.

They can easily put that lineup on Catchy Comedy. Its more accessible compared to the plus channel.

METV plus mainly plays hour long dramas and cop shows.

The 1960s version of Dragnet ended solely because Jack Webb got tired of doing the show. All he had to do was ask and NBC would have given him a fifth season.

I've seen that information on Wikipedia, the evidence suggests otherwise. Dragnet dropped like a rock in its fourth season on the air. It was a top 20 hit the prior season (68-69), and a top 30 hit during the season prior to that (67-68), in 69-70 it fell out of the top 60. As a matter of fact of the bottom 30 shows only 3 were renewed, two public affairs programs and a cheap to produce game show. No way NBC would have renewed it, not with a top 15 show lead-in (Ironside) and a top 15 show (Dean Martin) on right after.

When METV+ was first added to the channel line-up on the system in my area I saw it as the TV equivalent of a retail outlet store. Now I think of it more as a research and development department. Westerns were once a big part of the line-up, once Weigel's West channel started the westerns were pulled off of METV+. Now for lack of a better term there are lots of "cops and robbers" type shows, maybe Weigel is thinking of developing yet another subchannel for that type of show. There may also be shows on METV+ that are under consideration for the main channel or or for one of the other subchannels.

MeTV+ does have some good sitcoms but they are all on Saturdays during the day when I’m not watching and doing other things. I wish they would show them at night.
