How does everyone rate the ALF - Shout Factory! DVD release from 1 - 10?

I rate it a 10. All the episodes are uncut and unedited with the exception of the episode "Try To Remember".

Having watched the edited Lionsgate release and then the unedited German release, I have yet to watch the episodes on this set. I am watching The Animated Series at the moment though. A bit of a slog though and I doubt I will ever watch it again.

Shame the Shout! set did not include the pilot that was on the Lionsgate set.

The Lions Gate version that was released in the US back in 2004 was horrible. Those episodes were so cut and butchered.

The German version that was released in Germany back in 2012 was so much better since almost every episode was uncut and unedited with the exception of the episode "Try To Remember".

The Shout! Factory version that was released in the US back in 2023 was by far the best since the release included a box set along with a guide booklet and every episode was uncut and unedited with the exception of the episode "Try To Remember". The set also included the ALF Animated Series and the ALF Tales.

In the original broadcast episode of "Try To Remember" ALF originally had took an electric mixer with him into the bathtub and he gets electrocuted.
The episode got edited due to concerns over safety. The episode was re-shot and replaced with a scene where ALF slips and hits his head on the bathtub.

Here are the run times for the Unaired Pilot episode and for the Pilot episode released from Lions Gate and Shout! Factory:

Lions Gate Unaired Pilot episode (2004): Approximately 24:00 minutes. This version labeled Original Unaired Pilot contains unique footage not used in the broadcast series, such as an extended dinner scene prologue.

Lions Gate Pilot episode (2004): Approximately 21:00 minutes. This version is the syndicated cut. Lions Gate used these shorter versions for their general episode list to save on remastering costs, leading to roughly 3 minutes of missing footage per episode compared to the original broadcast.

Shout! Factory Pilot episode (2023): Approximately 24:34 minutes. Shout! Factory restored the original broadcast masters, which are the full length episodes as they originally aired on NBC.
