Don't ya just love them?! You can get the coolest stuff there!!! Today I got this shirt that has a picture of the Earth on it and it says "globalprotection.net" and on the bottom it says "Because my parents LOVE me!" I thought it was the funniest thing ever! And it was only 70 cents! (1/2 price monday!) Yah but I got a shirt that says "Ricky Ricardo's Club Babalu" and a Charlie the Tuna shirt too....but not tonight. My friend got a shirt (I saw it first!) that said "I partied with Papa on his 60th birthday!".....I wanted it...she got it for a quarter...Oh and they had a lil kids backpack that was soooooooo cute! It was red and blue and yellow and it had a picture of a car, and under it it said "car" a pic of a boat and under it it said "boat" and a pic of a plane and under it it said "plane" I was SO gonna buy it but it was stuck. 35 freakin cents!!! :(

So have you gotten anything from a thrift store?

ah...there not that great. The stores smell really odd and I just don;t really like the feeling of wearing other peoples clothes. YOu never know what might have happened to them or eho they belonged too IMO.

I wonder if I could find some Super Nintendo controllers in a thrift store? One of my dogs chewed the wires in half on the controllers. I bet I could find some there.

Me & my friend went last year because I was dressing up as Madonna dressed up as Monroe and she was doing the BORDERLINE era. We found nothing.

I'd recomend you'd try either Funcoland, Gamestop, Software Etc., or Baddages for a SNES controller if you can;t find one anywhere else. You;re pretty much guarenteed to find one there.

Try putting an ad in your local newspaper. That's what I did. I put in an ad asking for any old SNES games and I got a call from a woman who sold me 19 games, 4 different controllers, a bunch of cheat books, some old Nintendo magazines from, like, 1992 and even an extra SNES incase mine ever broke down! All this and it only cost me £100!!

As for the original question - I do buy quite a lot of things from thrift stores (or charity shops, as they're called here). The sweater I'm wearing at the moment I bought in a thrift store. It's really cool and in great condition. If I were to buy it new in a shop it would have cost me around £30 - I got this one for £3!! I also got a pair of shoes for £1 once and a Yankees t-shirt for £2.50.
I love thrift stores but I'll agree that the majority of them do smell awful! :p

Uh, well I haven't been in one and the idea of wearing someone elses clothes uh it's just not something I'd do. Anyone who buys used underwear in a thrift store is just totally sick and nasty!

YEEEESH! That's where I got my Ricky Ricardo shirt and my Charlie the Tuna shirt....:p

And I mean...I wouldn't buy my whole wardrobe at a thrift store....and duh you wash the stuff before ya wear it. And they do sell underwear, just don't buy any. That stuffs for people who can't afford new underwear and stuff....sheesh don;t get your undies in a bunch (no pun intended)
