#5.The last episode should have had a better ending. I'm pleased everyone got what they wanted, but it was too abrupt.
#4.Carl Dixon and Florida dating too early.
#3.Florida marrying Carl.
#2.Letting James go.
#1. Norman Lear not cooperating with Esther and her wishes pushing her to quit.

I know that during the first 3 eps of the 78-79 season, it was indicated that Florida and Carl were still married and then in ep 4 you don't hear about him and she is living at home again. What happened to Carl? Frankly, I didn't care and will let this change slip by without complaining. Actor Moses Gunn was better off on Little House anyway.

I agree about the ending. Everything great happened in about 10 minutes. It was just too much to consume.

Letting John Amos go was obviously the show's biggest demise. It just wasn't the same without him.
