View Full Version : Charles's last name.... Severina 11-18-2002, 01:48 PM what was charles's last name? jericho 11-18-2002, 11:08 PM It was.... oh someone's at the door, I better get it. Brett Ferino 11-20-2002, 04:19 PM Originally posted by Severina what was charles's last name? Charles' last name was never ever said. Anthony, who was Lillian's nephew and appeared in the first few episodes of the 1988-1989 season had a last name. It was Swenson according to the TV Listings. In case you never noticed this, Buddy always called Lillian "Aunt Lillian". Charles called Buddy's father Mr. Lembeck in the episode where he appeared. I'm sure you already knew this, two of Lillian's sisters (or sister-in-laws) last names were most likely not even mentioned either. Ellen Travolta played the sisters in two episodes from the final season. They're names were Sally and Vanessa. In one of the episodes from the final season, there were three guest stars that had appeared previously on the show as a guest star. They were Molly Orr (who played Hilliary Smith in the episode "Baby Bummer (1990)", Rodney Eastman (who played Jamie's date in the episode "Bad Boy (1989)", and Jack Bannon (who played Dr. Clay in the episode "Daffy Doc (1990)".) Charles and Lillian's last names must have Delvecchio on Charles in Charge, just like they were on Happy Days when Louisa (who was renamed Lillian on CIC) married Al. Now when Lillian first appeared on the program, Al must have kicked the bucket or they must have got a divorce. I do not know his last name, but there are many other TV situation comedy characters whose last names did not exist and most likely never will... Smokin' Sods 11-22-2002, 01:12 AM Yea, I think NOT revealing his last name was one of those intentional little tricks the show played on the audience. Sort of like how on the show Home Improvement they never showed the neighbor's mouth. Those sort of things are neat little ideas, but they can also get frustrating. For example, Buddy would be introducing himself and Charles to someone, and Buddy would say, "Hi, I'm Buddy Lembeck -- and this is Charles." I wish somebody just would have said "Charles WHAT?" Also, I know for a fact that the show never gave his last name, because it is not listed on IMDB.com. And if it would have ever been given, IMDB.com would certainly have it. Chad22 11-24-2002, 05:45 AM Arcola Of Course :D The Modfather 09-30-2003, 07:26 AM Originally posted by Chad Doody Arcola Of Course :D  Im sure you were joking Chad, that was Chachis last name! Charles name how ever was never said on the show. Roaddawg71 09-30-2003, 04:57 PM dont you think its possible that they just didnt give him a last name...that show has nothing to do w/ happy days...they just didnt give him a last name...its a tv thing The Modfather 09-30-2003, 05:00 PM Originally posted by roaddawg71 dont you think its possible that they just didnt give him a last name...that show has nothing to do w/ happy days...they just didnt give him a last name...its a tv thing Yeah, there wasnt enough time too come up with a last name...being lazy...its a tv thing ;) Roaddawg71 10-01-2003, 01:08 PM its not that there wasnt enough time the show was on for 4 years they just chose not to.. The Modfather 10-01-2003, 04:42 PM Originally posted by roaddawg71 its not that there wasnt enough time the show was on for 4 years they just chose not to.. Yeah, i was jokeing. Its like why they never showed Wilson's face in Home Improvement. But they didnt try to hide it in Charles in Charge. It just never came up. The Modfather 10-03-2003, 07:27 AM Originally posted by roaddawg71 thats a nice last name...but not charles'...it doesnt matter what any website say they never said his last name on the show so therefore he doesnt have one. Ditto. I mean how would some website know if they NEVER said anything about it on the show?? jarri 10-04-2003, 12:18 PM Reading these replies is hysterically funny. As I read them, I had to think about it. But...there last names could not have been Delvecchio. Lillian marrying Al didnt necessarily changed Chachi's last name. Usually, only the brides name changes. And not to be confused Lillian and Louisa were not the same person. Louisa was Al's lost love. Lillian was Chachi's mother. Although I will say that it is confusing! I am not even sure if my own knowledge is completely accurate. Happy Days-Joanie Loves Chachi-Charles in Charge all run together in my head. Who cares anyway? Charles is Charles, Buddy is Buddy, and Lillian is Lillian, etc. Roaddawg71 10-04-2003, 06:43 PM i agree Beavis 10-05-2003, 01:13 AM Charlie Carcola? http://www.yesterdayland.org/Love.gif Roaddawg71 10-06-2003, 01:11 PM NO DUDE...HE DOESNT HAVE A LAST NAME The Modfather 10-09-2003, 07:08 AM Originally posted by roaddawg71 NO DUDE...HE DOESNT HAVE A LAST NAME Ditto! Charles Arcola? Well Chad was being funny. Because on Happy Days Scott Baio played Chachi ARCOLA.
