View Full Version : How to Fix N&N
Adamantium 11-17-2002, 11:53 PM If you were President of Nick at Nite, what changes would you make? I don't just mean schedule changes. Here's what I would do.
First, I would get rid of the Nick @ Nite logo in the corner of the screen.
Then, I would move the channel back to 8:00pm like it was until the late 90's.
And then for the schedule:
8:00 - Car 54, Where Are You?
8:30 - The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis
9:00 - The Munsters
9:30 - The Addams Family
10:00 - My Three Sons (b&w & color)
10:30 - My Three Sons (b&w & color)
11:00 - The Patty Duke Show
11:30 - The Donna Reed Show
12:00 - Make Room for Daddy
12:30 - Leave it to Beaver
1:00 - The Life of Riley
1:30 - Dennis the Menace
2:00 - Mister Ed
2:30 - The Ann Southern Show
3:00 - The Three Stooges
3:30 - The Three Stooges
4:00 - Our Miss Brooks
4:30 - The Phil Silvers Show
5:00 - McHale's Navy
5:30 - F Troop
I would also air more of the show and less commercials. It seems like N@N is just commercials with a side of show.
DarleneIllyria 11-18-2002, 12:34 AM It'll never go back to being good. I'd just flush the people down the toilet. That's the change I would most likely make. lol

 I was gonna say burn it to the ground and start over.

 We could do both. I'll cram everybody in the toilet and crawl out the bathroom window while you burn it to the ground.
DarleneIllyria 11-18-2002, 03:07 AM Hmmm.....maybe we could also do the same things to the TNN people. Interesting

Chocoholic 11-18-2002, 07:06 PM Flushing them down the toilet? Burning them to the ground? I have the feeling that I shouldn't do anything to piss you two off!
Czas na Zywiec 11-18-2002, 07:33 PM Before you guys burn the place down, lemme steal all the coffee makers! Don't want a good thing go to waste!
Czas na Zywiec 11-18-2002, 07:36 PM Ya know what? Screw it! I don't ever want to touch something that has been used by N@N and it's employers!!! I'll get the propane instead! :D
Chocoholic 11-18-2002, 07:49 PM While we're destroying TV networks, can we get USA network too?

I'm up for it. Can we get MTV too? I'd love to cram Carson down a toilet and flush him.
dawsongirl 11-19-2002, 12:29 AM Alright...we got the propane and the manpower. Who's bringing the marshmallows? Might as well make this a bonfire. :D

I've got the marshmallows. Can I bring some of those miniature Hershey Kisses? I know I work better with chocolate. I'll share. I promise. :)
Czas na Zywiec 11-19-2002, 01:31 AM Hey, I might as well bring the graham crackers and make ourselves some smores! :liplick:
Chocoholic 11-19-2002, 01:37 AM And I'll bring the hot cocoa! :D
DarleneIllyria 11-19-2002, 01:58 AM What other channels should we get? TVL is halfway on the list. They show ABP, but that's the only good thing they've done recently. Scifi is halfway on the list. I say we get them too.
Freakzilla 11-19-2002, 02:30 AM Well, there is A&E. I like A&E only because they rerun NewsRadio. The rest of the schedule, especially The View, isn't very good IMO.

We can get them too while we're at it. Hallmark! How on earth could we forget Hallmark? We can get them both!
TVJunkie101 11-19-2002, 10:11 AM I say we just go after every network, burn em all down, make s'mores and start all over again. LOL. So we have:
Nick @ Nite
TNN
Sci-Fi
Hallmark (well, I like them airing Hogan's Heroes)
TV Land
A&E
MTV
Am I missing any other network?

Already?!? Wow, just after like what, 4 or 5 episodes?
Anyway Shawn, about Hogan's Heroes. Lets just grab the rolls of film before the burn the rest of the place down. Facts of Life too, if it's held there that is. lol

Good idea. If I have anything to say about it, HH makes it out of the war just fine. :D
I'm raiding the GSN vaults first too.
Anyone else want something saved? We have HH, FOL, Family Feud, Match Game, Tattletales...and anything else I find!
Don't forget Super Password, Password Plus, Password, Card Sharks, and Classic Squares! Classic Wheel too! and Mama's Family, Murder She Wrote, Biography, and Reba! And Three's Company too! BTW, while we're burning them and got them down the toilet, we can play the Seinfeld theme in thier ears so we can annoy the heck out of 'em!

I think it got up to 10 episodes. It holds such promise too. Most shows started out rocky the first season. Geez, we wouldn't have any tv shows if they canceled a show after a few episodes.

Yeah, I should have just said most classic game shows. :)
And good idea with the theme. Play the "Friends" theme after it, with the two on a continuous loop.

Yea, there's a lot of series from the past that had a rocky first season, but later on developed into something great! Think of all the shows that have already been cancelled. You never know what potential they might have had.

Exactly. If they had only had a powerhouse episode that made everybody tune in and watch the show. I have to admit that I was kind of surprised how they handled the Batman part of the show, but it's different and it takes imagination to run it in that direction.
What other way could you do it? If they said Batman was dead, that would shut down any other new Batman related movie or whatever. You couldn't pretend that Batman never existed. That's why they added that bit about Batman/Bruce Wayne leaving Gotham. Yeah, it kind of made him look like a dead beat dad because he had a daughter with Catwoman/Selena and when Catwoman died then he left. You had some serious changes with BOP and that's what made it different than any other Batman project.
