Just wondering what are your opinions about SBTB- The New Class.

I actually like "The New Class". Although the series started out a direct copy of the original series, it evolved into it's own. The one thing that makes the show odd is that every season had a different cast. However, Zack, Slater and Lisa have all appeared on the series. While of course, Screech joined the cast as Mr. Belding's Assistant.

I never seen this show, but this is the show where Bianca Lawson got her start. She is one of my favorite actresses.

She went on to star in the short lived sitcom Goodie Behavior. And she guest starred on shows such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Dawson's Creek, Steve Harvey show, Sister Sister, and more recently the Big House. Her movie credits include Save the Last Dance, Priamary Colors. She is currently co starring in the Jamie Foxx, Gabrielle Union movie Breakin' all the Rules.

Say what you want about this show, it launched an excellent actress carrer.

How come the New Class is never shown in Reruns like the regular class is? Funny how alot on this message board say they don't like the New Class, yet the new class lasted 2 years long then the orginal class. The new class lasted 7 years while the orginal class lasted 5 years from 1989-1993. So people out there somewhere must have liked it to last 7 years. Personally I thought it was okay, yet I never met anyone who liked it besides my neice.

I liked it. At first it was weird seeing Saved By The Bell, Bayside and Mr. Belding without Zack, Slater and all the other originals, and I never really got into the first season of New Class. I started watching the 2nd season and enjoyed it. I just accepted the show as it was instead of comparing it to the original series.

It was okay to begin with but then they had too many cast changes, repeated similar or identical storylines that had been used in SBTB (and would go on to be used again in all of Peter Engels other shows). And some of it was just bizzarre. Like those episodes where the kids were at a Police Academy
or something? WTF was that all about? And Screech quickly got too annoying for words.

The "New Class" class has not been syndicated like the original series. That is why it is not being shown in reruns yet.
