Ward is excited that the Cleavers' vacation reservations have come through--their 11th year of vacationing at Lake Crescent (which we viewers have never heard of).
Wally seems to lack enthusiasm, eventually announcing he can't go because Mr. Gibson at the drugstore needs him to work. But Beaver tells Ward and June it's because he wants to spend the summer with his girlfriend, Lori Ann . Wally later admits this to June.
Ward pulls out his trump card and tells Wally they don't like the idea of him staying in the house alone, and Wally says he thought of that, and he'd stay with Eddie.
When Wally tells Lori Ann the news that he'll be able to spend a lot of time wirh her, she tells him she'll be vacationing with her family at Lagoon Bay.
A dejected Wally can't bring himself to tell his parents that he now wants to vacation with them, but as they're driving out, they run into Eddie, who tells them. So Wally goes with them, after all.
Last episode of the 1961-1962 season.
