I found a singer who came out in 1984 called Brenda K. Starr and she became famous for her hit I Still Believe which Mariah Carey covered and was Brenda K. Starr's backup singer which Brenda got Mariah started as a solo artist. After releasing her 1991 album By Heart Brenda moved on to the Spanish language market and released tropical and salsa albums in Spanish. I wondered why Brenda K. Starr never has released an all-English album again. Because you might think that Brenda K. Starr would've been even bigger as a pop artist. Why didn't Brenda K. Starr's career in English last longer?
