I recently retired but a treat waking up early for the past 10 years was watching Barnaby Jones at 4 am either a work day or if I could not sleep. I remember the show as a child but it would have been over my head for my age. Its a brilliant show. The writing is excellent. The acting is superb. And I love the 1970s big cars and 70s themed plots.
It was the days when the bad guys wore suits :)

I used to watch Barnaby Jones on MeTV, which later on prompted me to purchase the complete series DVD's. Just too bad the DVD's have mostly edited for syndication versions of the episodes as we've discussed in the other thread.

I don't think I've ever actually watched an episode of Barnaby Jones in the morning. But every now and then I wake up around that time and think, "I could be watching Barnaby Jones!" Then I fall back asleep.

I don't think I ever watched Barnaby Jones? Maybe I did first run as a youngster if my parents had it on, but I don't recall my family watching it regularly . Like Streets of San Francisco, Kojak, McCloud , Baretta were the detective shows we watched alot.

I would like to check it out, but 4AM is way too early for me!
