Is any of the main characters seen less in season 9 like how Welcome Back Kotter was?

Ot was OK because by than Julie and Barbara were married with their own lives , moving into a house away from the apt. So more of the episodes centered on them at their new home and less of Ann back at the apt.anyway.

The two season 9 cast changes were Alex was gone after three seasons and Mackenzie Phillips was let go about halfway through it because of her drug problems.

And her absence was explained that her and her new husband, Max who she married in season 5 moved to Houston.

You will be noticing her looks starting to change for the worse in season 4. Julie starts to get really skinny and sickly looking from the drugs. Than season 5 really escalated very badly. :(
