View Full Version : "Gilligan's Island" Password
LucyFan 11-17-2002, 06:17 AM THE "GILLIGAN'S ISLAND" PASSWORD GAME
HOW TO PLAY:
First, Look at the example below. At one at a time, clues will be given out. There will be at least four clues and no more than seven. Players are allowed only to take one guess at each clue
[within the amount of time the clue has]. If a player guesses more than once the first guess will count, while the others won't.
The player who guesses the correct "Password" first automatically wins a point as well as the opportunity to give out clues for the next "Password" round. By the way, the category for this "Password" game will always be "Gilligan's Island".

gilligan fanatic 09-28-2005, 06:41 PM Guys, to make it a little harder we may have to be more specific with the answers. eg: mind reading seeds rather than the episode title, "Seer Gilligan". Any thoughts?

1st Clue: The 'Wizard of Wall Street' strikes again!
Bonsai 09-29-2005, 10:36 PM 1st answer: "Three Million Dollars More or Less"
Mr. Howell says this after he has beaten the Skipper at pool and accepted Gilligan's deed to the Tehachapuku Oil and Mining Co. to cover the $12 million owed to him. ;)

gilligan fanatic 10-21-2005, 07:26 AM I realy don't know, this is a good one ph1l
2nd Clue:The castaways go spelunking.
gilligan fanatic 10-22-2005, 05:08 PM 1st Answer. I realy am still stumped spelunking has something to do with cave exploration and they explore caves in "Voodoo", I don't know but I guess I will go with Voodoo Dolls.
Good thinking. You're in the right direction.
3rd Clue: The Professor invents the wheel
gilligan fanatic 10-23-2005, 10:01 AM okay, I got it now
2nd Answer: The Secret of Gilligan's Island
Good going. You got the episode.
4th Clue: A hut wouldn't be complete without this.
gilligan fanatic 10-24-2005, 05:10 PM 4th Answer: I should have gotten this earlier; a home sweet hut sign
Wow. Well done. I thought you'd need the last clue for sure. It was going to be something Gilligan makes.
gilligan fanatic 10-25-2005, 11:08 AM finaly I got the last one.
Okay, this will be a 2 parter like ph1l's. First you find the episode and then you will find something in the episode.
1st Clue: "Shooting you would be like shooting the Easter bunny."
Bonsai 10-25-2005, 01:43 PM 1st Answer: "The Hunter"
gilligan fanatic 10-25-2005, 05:00 PM right Bonsai
now for the item
2nd Clue: the castaways favorite tree
Bonsai 10-25-2005, 10:55 PM 2nd Answer: a target drawn in chalk
gilligan fanatic 10-26-2005, 11:02 AM thats right, but
3rd Clue: the name of the castaway's favorite tree
Bonsai 10-26-2005, 09:51 PM 3rd Answer: agaporasacka
3rd Answer: agaporasacka
Yeah, that one. Does it start with an "N"?
gilligan fanatic 10-27-2005, 10:31 AM right Bonsai
Bonsai 10-27-2005, 10:21 PM I used the english subtitles on the DVD to see how to spell it!
gilligan fanatic 11-05-2005, 10:08 AM First Clue:
Steak
Bonsai 11-06-2005, 03:11 AM Wow! This could be from "The Friendly Physician" where the Skipper and Gilligan are served steaks at Dr. Balinkoff's house. It could be from "V For Vitamins" where Gilligan tells the Skipper where to get a steak back in Hawaii---or it could be one of the dozens of times that the Skipper says that when he's rescued he's going to have the thickest and juiciest steak in the world or make a sandwich by putting a steak between two other steaks. However, I'm going to take a chance that this clue is already focusing on something relatively unique and say
the episode where the Skipper writes the word "steak" in the sand with a stick.
Yeah. Good clue. Gets the juices flowing. I'm gonna have to wait for the next clue, I think.
gilligan fanatic 11-06-2005, 06:04 PM 2nd Clue: Dust
Bonsai 11-07-2005, 10:25 PM 2nd answer: "The Friendly Physician"-----Gilligan and the Skipper have to blow the dust off everything on Dr. Balinkoff's table. :)
gilligan fanatic 11-08-2005, 10:27 AM right Bonsai
gilligan fanatic 11-09-2005, 11:35 AM First Clue: Lip Stick
Is it Ginger's deadly lipstick from "The Invasion"?
gilligan fanatic 11-10-2005, 11:33 AM Second Clue: Top Hat
First thing that comes to mind is Mr. Howell. He's generally the only person wearing one. But I need another clue to narrow it down in combination with lipstick. :)
gilligan fanatic 11-11-2005, 11:46 AM Third Clue: Wedding
I think I've got it now. "Mr. and Mrs. ???"?
gilligan fanatic 11-12-2005, 11:20 AM right
Bonsai 11-12-2005, 12:12 PM 1st Clue: Stan the Exercise Man
gilligan fanatic 11-12-2005, 12:24 PM I know the scene but I am not so sure of the episode. I think it is from "Hi-Fi Gilligan".
Bonsai 11-12-2005, 12:29 PM Wow! Very Very Good-------but the ultimate answer is something more specific....
2nd Clue: Blaze of Noon
gilligan fanatic 11-12-2005, 12:44 PM That is a good one Bonsai, I had to re watch the episode for that clue.
It is Mary Ann's favorite radio program
Bonsai 11-13-2005, 08:58 PM Right again, GF :) but what do Stan the Exercise Man and Blaze of Noon have in common?
3rd Clue: Goldilocks
Is it radio programs broadcast from Gilligan's mouth?
Bonsai 11-14-2005, 09:27 PM Exactly right Ph1l! :)
You and GF got that one pretty fast
Yeah, I needed gf's narrowing things down.
The answer is an item.
1st Clue: Something personal to 5 of the castaways.
gilligan fanatic 11-15-2005, 12:03 PM hmm only 5 of the castaways
the only way I can divide them up to equal 5 are
1) The non crew members
2) Everyone single
3) Everyone minus the single girls
4) Everyone minus the two youngest
Can't think of what only 5 of them need.
2nd Clue: A crate of coconuts
gilligan fanatic 11-16-2005, 12:00 PM oh I think I got it
they find the news paper that says one the castaways are guily of murder.
Answer: An Alibi (spelling I am sure is wrong)
Very close gf.
3rd Clue: The Howell's hut.
gilligan fanatic 11-17-2005, 12:00 PM Answer: Evidence
I'm being very pedantic. :)
4th Clue: The Skipper's back pocket.
gilligan fanatic 11-18-2005, 12:02 PM Answer: Newspaper
Well done gf. I was going to be real picky and say newspaper clipping but you obviously knew what I meant. :)
gilligan fanatic 11-21-2005, 11:43 AM this is easy, but is the only thing I can think of at the moment
First Clue (part 1): boy scout guide
gilligan fanatic 11-23-2005, 10:19 AM good try :)
2nd Clue: Diary
I think Lord Beasley had a diary and looked like he wore a boy scouts uniform.
"Man with a Net"?
gilligan fanatic 11-24-2005, 10:24 AM keep trying :)
3rd Clue: Japanese Salior Flashback
Oh yeah. Gilligan was keeping a diary wasn't he. The other castaways got upset and started their own with differing retellings of the japanese soldier capture and rescue. "Diogenes, Won't You Please Go Home?" You got me on the boy scout guide reference though.
gilligan fanatic 11-25-2005, 11:33 AM that's right ph1 l:wave:
Phew. Really needed that 3rd clue.
A favourite of one of the castaways.
!st Clue: 3NO2 + H2O = 2HNO3 + NO.
gilligan fanatic 11-26-2005, 10:55 AM would that be Mary Ann and would it be carrots?
Bonsai 11-26-2005, 01:08 PM "Pass the Vegetables Please" :)
gilligan fanatic 11-26-2005, 03:01 PM good to see you back Bonsai
gilligan fanatic 11-29-2005, 06:03 PM guess what episode the screen shot is from and explain what is happening
Hint: Engh Engh Supply
That hint is very cryptic. Doesn't help me at all. :)
By Mr. Howells expression, Gilligan has spilled the beans on a Mr. Howell/Gilligan business proposition. Am I on the right track?
gilligan fanatic 11-30-2005, 11:39 AM sort of. Mr Howell is in charge of something.
Hint 2: "The Drinks are on Mr Howell"
I like your xmas themed avatar. :)
I'm having a wild guess (again) and saying "Water, Water Everywhere"
gilligan fanatic 12-01-2005, 11:35 AM thanks :D
you guessed right. It was Water Water Everywhere
Really? How was the "Engh Engh Supply" clue worked out.
I like the screen shot clues.
What episode is this screen shot from
1st Clue: The Professor is likened to a joiner.
gilligan fanatic 12-02-2005, 11:29 AM hmm is that Gilligan Gets Bugged
Geez. I didn't think it was that easy. :)
Well done gf.
Bonsai 12-04-2005, 11:12 AM We're just going to have to face it----we all know this series backwards and forwards and sideways and inside-out.
1st clue: Gilligan mentions his mother for the first and only time (not including dream sequences or anywhere he was playing another role)
gilligan fanatic 12-04-2005, 10:10 PM I know the scene but I am not sure of the episode. Gilligan says to Ginger she reminds him of his mother. I know she is feeding him and tells him a story so he does not eat to fast. I am going to guess and say it was Bang Bang Bang.
Good one gf. I remember the scene but I don't think it was "Bang Bang Bang".
I'm trying to think of why Gilligan was being fed by Ginger. I'm fairly sure it's a 3rd season episode because I seem to recall seeing it lately and not one I recorded. Narrowing it down I'd have t say "Gilligan's Personal Magnetism"
gilligan fanatic 12-05-2005, 11:57 AM I think you are right about that ph1 I think I was thinking of Mary Ann feeding him
Bonsai 12-05-2005, 06:14 PM sorry guys--I think I picked a lousy clue. I thought there was only one time, but then I remembered the dream sequence in "V for Vitamins" and when Gilligan was Hamlet in "The Producer"------so then I qualified it to his being awake and not playing another role. Now I remember the incidents both of you are thinking of where Gilligan tells Ginger and Mary Ann that they remind him of his mother or are doing something his mother used to do. I'd be willing to bet there's also a similar scene somewhere between him and Mrs. Howell.
gilligan fanatic 12-06-2005, 10:07 AM First Clue: Private Country Clubs: Wingfoot, Hilcrest, and Pebble Beach
Did we get Bonsai's question?
Country clubs remind me of "The Sweepstakes" episode.
gilligan fanatic 12-07-2005, 11:38 AM I think we got it
it wasn't the Sweepstakes
Second Clue: Dwarf Tree
The only thing that comes to mind is the little tree that Gilligan trips over and gets affected by the meteor and grows 50 years old in a few minutes."Meet the Meteor"?
gilligan fanatic 12-08-2005, 11:41 AM that's right ph1
That's great.
Here's another screen shot clue. This one's a little tricky.
gilligan fanatic 12-09-2005, 02:18 PM hmm I know that Mary Ann uses the pedal thing in more than one episode but I think it is from "Castaway Pictures Presents"
I thought this might be a sneaky one. :)
2nd Clue:
Raincoats and rubber tree sap.
gilligan fanatic 12-10-2005, 10:35 AM When I think of raincoats I think of "Gilligan Meets Jungle Boy" but that is a first season episode so it can't be that. Rubber tree sap I think of "Good Bye Island", another first season episode. I think I am going to feel silly when I see it but as of right now I am stumped.
Well done gf. Your first hunch was the right one. I was sneaky and used a colourised screen shot. heh heh
gilligan fanatic 12-11-2005, 11:06 AM That was good ph1 I was really confused about that. :)
I think this one will confuse you
Gingers Movie: "The Bird People Meet the Chicken Pluckers"
Actually, I recall Ginger saying this. I'm reasonably sure it's a 3rd seasoner. I'll need at least one more clue. :)
gilligan fanatic 12-12-2005, 06:45 PM you were right about the season
"Buck Rodgers"
Ahh. That's quite a clue. It's got to be "It's a Bird, It's a Plane, It's Gilligan!".
gilligan fanatic 12-13-2005, 04:25 PM that is correct
The answer for this one is the episode title
A hint for the pic.
Mary Ann's asking someone a question.
gilligan fanatic 12-15-2005, 12:41 PM let's see, that is Gilligan she is talking to but I don't know the episode. I know she where that hat in "Pass the Vegetables Please" so I think I will go with that but I don't think its right.
You are spot on about her talking to Gilligan.
2nd Clue: Gilligan's answer isn't truthful.
gilligan fanatic 12-17-2005, 12:27 PM I have been trying to think about it for a day and I still don't know.
3rd Clue: An unusual use for the Minnow's horn.
Céline 12-18-2005, 10:50 AM Wasn't it in the ep:Lovey's secret admirer.Gilligan was playing with the lies detector and Mary Ann wanted to find out if Gilligan had eaten her new recipe?
Well done Céline. We may have to ban you from this quiz. Only kidding :)
It's your turn now for getting the correct answer.
Céline 12-19-2005, 11:57 AM Oh!It's my turn.Ok:)
"This island is remote it never appeared on Twilight Zone"
gilligan fanatic 12-19-2005, 12:03 PM That would that be from Ericka Tiffany Smith to the Rescue. :D
Céline 12-19-2005, 12:13 PM Correct;)
gilligan fanatic 12-19-2005, 01:48 PM First Clue: Triangle Studios
My first thought is an episode with Ginger in it. :)
I think I'll need another clue.
gilligan fanatic 12-21-2005, 09:44 AM Second Clue: Someone acts like Hedda Hopper
And Gilligan as Charlie Chaplin. "Castaway Pictures Presents"?
gilligan fanatic 12-22-2005, 09:15 PM very very good guess, but that is not it. I did not realize that Mary Ann was acting like her. It was a guest star who is not on the island acting like Hedda Hopper.
Clue: A saw blade breaks
Hmmm. My next guess is "You've been Disconnected" I recall the castaways having a dickens of a time cutting through the cable casing.
gilligan fanatic 12-23-2005, 10:03 AM that is correct. It was "You've been Disconnected". The telephone operator they reach was who I was talking about. Triangle Studios is the company that was making The Ginger Grant Story.
Ahh. Right. I'd forgotten that bit.
1st Clue: The castaways follow the movements of Alice.
gilligan fanatic 12-28-2005, 06:08 PM sorry ph1!, I have been gone for a while.
I think you are talking about Alice Doen't Live Here Anymore, but I have never seen it I have juet read about it.
I think it has something to do with murder but I will wait for the next clue.
caladon 12-28-2005, 08:12 PM Ahh. Right. I'd forgotten that bit.
1st Clue: The castaways follow the movements of Alice.
Would that be Alice McNeil aka The Vagabond Lady from the episode "Goodnight Sweet Skipper." She was the solo lady pilot that the castaways were trying to contact; and in fact Gilligan did contact her, albiet temporarily.
Correct. Very good caladon. I thought I'd need to post at least one more clue.
caladon 12-29-2005, 09:35 AM Thank you ph1l.
1st Clue: A royal arrival.
Bonsai 12-29-2005, 02:16 PM 1st answer: Gilligan the Goddess
caladon 12-29-2005, 04:33 PM Good guess, but no.
2nd clue: Took 5 days to arrive.
How about "Duke" (:)) from "Big Man on a Little Stick"?
caladon 12-30-2005, 04:06 AM Absolutely correct. Good work Ph1l.
The clues need to be a little cryptic because of how quick you guys get the answers.
The answer is not the episode title.
1st Clue: tic tac toe.
gilligan fanatic 12-31-2005, 04:02 PM Gilligan plays tic tac toe when he judges the girls. I will say it is a judge.
Spot on the episode (as usual) but not what I'm after.
2nd Clue: There's monkey business involved
gilligan fanatic 01-01-2006, 10:52 AM 2nd Answer Gladys the Gorilla
Spot on gf. I thought the monkey business clue might side track you to the Skipper, Professor or Mr. Howell.
gilligan fanatic 01-03-2006, 11:44 AM let's see I will have my answer be an item as well and not an episode
First Clue: "Interpret the Law"
caladon 01-03-2006, 03:37 PM Would it be the book on Criminal Law used in the episode "Gilligan Goes Gung-Ho?"
gilligan fanatic 01-03-2006, 04:06 PM very good try
Second clue: It brings things to order
caladon 01-03-2006, 04:29 PM How about the coconut milk squirting gavel from the episode "Plant You Now, Dig You Later?"
gilligan fanatic 01-03-2006, 05:07 PM that is it
caladon 01-04-2006, 03:22 PM Thanks. I like the idea of trying to identify specific items; so here goes:
1st clue: A medicinal source for questionable culinary safety.
Céline 01-04-2006, 05:00 PM Keptobora berries from the ep:Topsy Turvy?
caladon 01-04-2006, 06:31 PM Good guess, but no.
2nd Clue: There's a fungus among us.
gilligan fanatic 01-04-2006, 06:35 PM the mushrooms in The Postman Cometh
caladon 01-04-2006, 08:20 PM You're heading in the right direction, just "read" to the first clue again and you're "bound" to have it.
The home made soap the Professor tells the castaways to eat to rid them of the effects of eating radioactive treated vegetables.
caladon 01-05-2006, 09:32 AM Sorry, no. gilligan fanatic is the closest so far.
Next clue: A tome for possibly making the right choice.
gilligan fanatic 01-05-2006, 10:03 PM I think I might have it.
a cookbook
caladon 01-06-2006, 02:37 AM Not exactly a cook book, but you got it. To be specific it was "How To Tell A Mushroom from a Toadstool" by the late Dr. Morton Kepstone. I guess he found out how to tell the difference the hard way.
gilligan fanatic 01-07-2006, 03:18 PM oh yeah, I remember that now at the end of the episode.
this answer will just be the episode
First Clue: Jose Greco's dancing
He was some kind of flamenco dancer, wasn't he? I'm trying to think of an episode with that sort of connection and "The Little Dictator" is the only one that comes to mind.
gilligan fanatic 01-09-2006, 05:14 PM it wasn't The Little Dictator
Second Clue: someone is called a ninny
caladon 01-09-2006, 06:41 PM "Love Me, Love My Skipper?"
gilligan fanatic 01-09-2006, 07:44 PM that is right caladon
caladon 01-10-2006, 09:05 AM Thanks. Ok folks, name this episode:
In this episode, the island showed a shooting star.
caladon 01-10-2006, 03:07 PM Thanks. Ok folks, name this episode:
In this episode, the island showed a shooting star.
Let me re-phrase that a bit.
In the episode, we see a shooting star on the island.
Céline 01-10-2006, 03:41 PM Was it in Voodoo Me Something?
caladon 01-10-2006, 03:56 PM Sorry, but no.
gilligan fanatic 01-10-2006, 03:59 PM hmm, a shooting star, was that in Up to Bat? I might be thinking of a blue moon though.
Céline 01-10-2006, 04:51 PM Don't be sorry,be happy:)It was in the ep:Nyet,Nyet,Not Yet.
caladon 01-10-2006, 10:18 PM Good guesses, but no.
2nd Clue: This episode gets off to a rocky start.
Céline 01-11-2006, 12:11 AM In:Meet the Meteor.
Ginger (a movie star) shoots the Professor practising her art in "Gilligan Goes Gung Ho" Not sure about the rock reference though.
caladon 01-11-2006, 08:38 AM You got it, ph1l. Well done.
The "rocky start" reference refers to the scene just after Ginger "shoots" the Professor, when Gilligan runs to the Skipper for help. The Skipper tells Gilligan that he just found some rocks that will glow in the dark.
Wow. I thought Céline had it actually. You're sneakier than I am. :)
Name the episode.
1st Clue: Time's a ticking.
caladon 01-12-2006, 08:40 AM Thank you; I tried. ;-)
If the pic is any indication, I'd have to guess: "Mine Hero," when the WWII mine was ticking away.
Wow. And I thought this was a hard one. Well done caladon.
gilligan fanatic 01-13-2006, 06:21 PM here is one you might have to do research on
First Clue: A guest star's character is based on this person - Douglas Corrigan.
Name the character
caladon 01-13-2006, 06:31 PM Wrongway Feldman; played to comedic perfection by the late great Hans Conried.
gilligan fanatic 01-13-2006, 06:32 PM wow, you got that right only after 10 minutes since I posted it. Good Job.
caladon 01-14-2006, 02:30 AM Thanks; I'll have to chalk it up to right place right time.
Name the episode:
1st Clue: Edibles force a change.
gilligan fanatic 01-14-2006, 10:22 AM would that be V For Vitamins
caladon 01-14-2006, 11:04 AM Nice guess, but no.
2nd Clue: In this one, the castaways look up to Gilligan.
gilligan fanatic 01-14-2006, 12:21 PM President Gilligan?
caladon 01-14-2006, 01:32 PM Sorry, no.
3rd Clue: Ladies first.
Céline 01-14-2006, 06:45 PM In the ep:It's Bird,It's a Plane,It's Gilligan.
When Gilligan is flying with the jet Pac.
caladon 01-15-2006, 12:42 AM Good guess, but no.
4th Clue: This episode was a real drag for Gilligan.
This is a good one caladon. All I can think of is an episode where Gilligan dresses up as a woman because of the "drag" reference. I'm probably on the wrong track. Ladies first reminds me of the girls being sought for marriage in "Gilligan the Goddess"
caladon 01-16-2006, 02:13 AM Thanks. You're definitely on the right track, but it's not "Gilligan The Goddess."
5th Clue: Extra, extra; read all about it.
Ok. I think I've got it this time. The mentioning of edibles changes Dr. Gilligan, the castaway look up to Gilligan from a weapons pit, the ladies are the first to disappear, not positive about the drag clue, and the "Extra Extra" is in reference to a newspaper report of Doctor Gilligan being Mr. Hyde from "And Then There Were None"
caladon 01-16-2006, 06:10 AM Absolutely Correct. Congratulations and well done, ph1l; you are right on the money with every clue.
And to complete the list, the drag clue was when Gilligan dressed like Mrs. Howell to act as bait in order to lure the natives (not that there ever were any) out into the open.
gilligan fanatic 01-16-2006, 06:38 PM That one was a real good one caladon, you got me on that one.
Guess the screen shot and expain what the Howell's are looking at
First Clue: "Young at Heart"
Thanks caladon. I'd forgotten Gilligan's dressing up as Mrs.Howell. Actually the scene mentioned where Gilligan says he was alone with Mrs. Howell picking out a dress worries me about a possible cut. The paranoia strikes again. :)
Are Mr. and Mrs. Howell checking out Mary Ann and Gilligan in "The Matchmaker"?
gilligan fanatic 01-17-2006, 11:46 AM you are on the right track, very close
Second Clue: Arbor
Céline 01-18-2006, 12:14 AM Mr & Mrs Howells are watching Gilligan & Mary Ann tasting trees sap in the ep:Goodbye Island.
gilligan fanatic 01-18-2006, 11:27 AM that is correct Céline
Céline 01-18-2006, 02:13 PM Here's my question:In what episode can we hear the musical's piece:The Blue Danube?
Is it "Music Hath Charm" where Mrs. Howell conducts the castaway orchestra?
Céline 01-19-2006, 02:09 PM Correct,ph1l.Good Job!
Thanks Céline.
The answer is an episode title.
1st Clue: shipwreck no. 2
gilligan fanatic 01-20-2006, 11:51 AM let's see, it could be from when Gilligan and the Skipper crash on the other side of the island in "Two on a Raft"
Céline 01-20-2006, 04:25 PM Or is it when the castaways recreated the shipwreck in the ep:Court Martial?
caladon 01-20-2006, 04:33 PM I'll guess "The Big Gold Strike" when the Minnow's life raft sank, due to the weight of all the gold; and the castaways wound up back on the island.
All good answers, but no.
2nd Clue:two men on a raft
gilligan fanatic 01-22-2006, 09:59 AM I don't know if you missed my last guess becasuse there was three, but I said "Two on a Raft". Was that it?
Yes I did see it. That's what gave me the idea of the second clue. Ta. :)
3rd Clue: Quiet, you birds!
caladon 01-23-2006, 02:04 PM My next guess will be "Castaway Pictures Presents."
Spot on caladon. Well done.
caladon 01-25-2006, 03:12 AM Thanks Ph1l, those were great clues:
Clue #1: Shipwreck #2. The sunken yacht belonging to Ricardo Laughingwell.
Clue #2: Two on a raft. The Professor and Mr. Howell on the raft in the lagoon keeping an eye on the Skipper and Gilligan's airhoses.
Clue #3: Quiet you birds. What Mr. Howell; as director, would say before filming a scene.
Ok gang, guess the episode:
1st Clue: It's hammer time.
gilligan fanatic 01-25-2006, 02:13 PM Gilligan keeps loaning out the tools in Home Sweet Hut
caladon 01-25-2006, 07:50 PM Good guess, but no.
2nd Clue: Hut one, Hut two, Hut three, hike.
The Skipper almost hitting explosive nails in "Bang Bang Bang"?
caladon 01-26-2006, 04:14 PM Good guess, but no.
3rd Clue: A watery whistle.
gilligan fanatic 01-26-2006, 07:19 PM "Will The Real Mr Howell Please Stand Up"
caladon 01-27-2006, 03:15 AM Sorry, but no.
4th Clue: In this episode, Gilligan backed up the Skipper
Another good one caladon. How about the men building three new huts up on higher ground with the Skipper and Gilligan leaning on each other, back to back, to keep from falling down because they've been working at night so as not to alarm the women to the fact that their island is sinking in "Quick Before It Sinks".
caladon 01-28-2006, 08:54 AM Thanks. Yours is a good and logical guess, but not the episode I'm thinking of.
5th Clue: 61 hours, 42 minutes and 11 seconds; but who's counting.
gilligan fanatic 01-28-2006, 02:59 PM was that when the woman pilot would be near the island on "Good Night Sweet Skipper"?
caladon 01-28-2006, 04:00 PM No, but you're in the right season.
6th Clue: Keep your shirt on; it was just a dream
I didn't think it was right. I couldn't work in the "watery whistle" clue. Your last post indicates a first season episode with a dream sequence but I still have no idea. "Sound of Quacking"?
caladon 01-30-2006, 03:32 AM It's not "The Sound of Quacking" but it is from the first season. Should I post another clue or reveal the answer?
gilligan fanatic 01-30-2006, 01:34 PM St Gilligan and the Dragon?
caladon 01-30-2006, 03:53 PM St Gilligan and the Dragon?
And we have a WINNER. Great job gilligan fanatic.
To recap the clues:
Clue 1: It's hammer time.
The only tool the ladies took along with them was the sledge hammer.
Clue 2: Hut one, Hut two, Hut three, hike.
The castaways at the time were sharing one hut (hut one); Mrs. Howell complains to Mr. Howell that he promised to build them their own hut (hut two); the ladies had to build their own hut (hut three); but they had to "hike" to a new location to build it.
Clue 3: A watery whistle.
After Mr. Howell did their "family whistle" to get Mrs. Howell's attention, he was drenched with water.
Clue 4: In this episode, Gilligan backed up the Skipper
When The Skipper and Gilligan dressed up like the elephant monster, the Skipper was the front and Gilligan was the back.
Clue 5: 61 hours, 42 minutes and 11 seconds; but who's counting.
When the men can't sleep and are sitting around the camp fire they are commenting on how they are getting along fine without the women, then The Skipper, asks how long the women have been gone; the response was:
Gilligan: 61 hours
The Professor: 42 minutes
Mr. Howell: (looking at his watch) 11 seconds.
Clue 6: Keep your shirt on; it was just a dream
During the men's dream sequences, The Professor dreams that the women are tearing off his clothes and wakes up with his shirt completely unbuttoned.
gilligan fanatic 01-30-2006, 07:08 PM that was a good one caladon. I hate to admit it, but I basically just guessed. It was the only other episode from season one that I remember to have a dream sequence.
gilligan fanatic 01-31-2006, 11:36 AM This is not going to be any where as good as caladons, but oh well.
First Clue: A Can
caladon 01-31-2006, 03:17 PM I'll guess "Angel On The Island."
gilligan fanatic 01-31-2006, 03:54 PM Good Guess
Second Clue: Bozo the Clown
caladon 01-31-2006, 09:00 PM How about "Feed The Kitty."
gilligan fanatic 01-31-2006, 09:07 PM you got it Caladon.
caladon 02-01-2006, 03:38 PM Thanks.
Guess the episode:
1st Clue: Hair Heist
6 clues. Well done caladon. Thank goodness gf got it before it got too embarrassing. :)
I'm thinking of two. I'll try "Voodoo" first.
caladon 02-02-2006, 08:33 AM Congratualtions and well done to you too ph1l; you got it in one. :)
Well, that was a fluke.
The answer is a particular item.
1st Clue: Gilligan and Mr. Howell are in it together.
gilligan fanatic 02-03-2006, 05:10 PM Is it Gold?
