A kind of silly episode penned by Connelly and Mosher.
Beaver finds an apparently valuable cat waiting at the Cleaver doorstep. Without telling June, he takes the cat upstairs.
Meanwhile Mrs. Prentiss calls June, looking for the cat, "Bootsie." Not knowing about Beaver's find, June tells her, no cat here.
For once, Ward figures, let's check now with the boys about the cat--and Beaver 'fesses up. Mrs. Prentiss comes over, gets Bootsie, and rewards the boys.
But, there's still several minutes left to fill. So, the cat comes back and Beaver feeds it--a mistake with an animal, which will return for food. The rest of the episode consists of back and forth between houses with the cat--Gilbert's dog even gets into the act.
