This episode opens season 5, although it appears the first episode produced was "Wally's Weekend Job."

Ward is greeted at the country club by Bill Boothby, who informs him they could soon be related, since Wally is going steady with his daughter Evelyn. Later Ward tells June he's in the dark about this.

After grilling Wally at the dinner table, neither he nor June appear to be overly concerned, until Evelyn appears with her older sister and her husband, Tom Henderson, to play tennis with Wally. Adding to their consternation, Wally makes a dinner date with Evelyn, at the Hendersons'. June worries that Wally will get ideas about marrying.

Their worries are lessened when Wally gets a less-that-ideal view of married life.
