Remember any of those?
She was way ahead of her time with Chicago Sons. Nowadays it’d be a big hit on NBC.

TJ 01-26-2026, 04:31 PM Paula Marshall has been called TV's black widow (https://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?t=28854) or the female Ted McGinley (https://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?t=82221). Gary Unmarried is her only sitcom to be picked up for a second season. Out of Practice had a great cast. It should have had a longer run. Chicago Sons was pretty decent. Anything with Jason Bateman or set in Chicago is watchable. opus 01-26-2026, 10:38 PM Paula Marshall has been called TV's black widow (https://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?t=28854) or the female Ted McGinley (https://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?t=82221). Anything with Jason Bateman or set in Chicago is watchable. Ted McGinley’s thing (deserved or not) was that he would come onto an established show at the end and kill it. Marshall’s was constantly having a new series only get one season. So they were actually on opposite ends of the spectrum. Bonniegirl 01-27-2026, 12:08 AM I honestly do not know who she is. And I don't know any of these shows? opus 01-27-2026, 12:23 AM I honestly do not know who she is. And I don't know any of these shows? I’ve never seen any either, but I obviously know her story. The main place I know her is as the girl who thinks Jerry and George are lovers. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTv167Q3SpLf5RwXkS5NqryxbjRKFIcA0tbfN61b7k_JHXGUJ4oV2OyDNY&s=10 Mitty 01-27-2026, 12:56 AM ABC...Phooey! (pardon my French). Just 15 episodes. icecream 01-27-2026, 03:38 PM Only one of those I have seen is Out of Practice, which was a disappointment. Hidden Hills looked awful from the ads, waste of a Frasier lead-in. I did see the pilot of Gary Unmarried, very underwhelming. When Gary Unmarried is the one show she gets two seasons with, that says it all. icecream 01-27-2026, 03:39 PM Remember any of those? She was way ahead of her time with Chicago Sons. So perfect for Paula Marshall then. On a side note, IMDb has her listed as being on one episode of Chicago Med. AMackII 01-27-2026, 09:00 PM Wild Oats, the show should’ve last long |
