On the current CBS version of Hollywood Squares, I have noticed that the show has no permanent announcer like the original version that had Kenny Williams and the John Davidson and Tom Bergeron incarnations that used Shadoe Stevens. Why couldn't the producers bring back Stevens to announce instead of using one of the guest stars or Drew Barrymore to introduce the stars and host Nate Burleson? Could it be a cost saving move?
