I agree. I don't care if people want to fight me. I've been kicked and punched many times but I've always walked away from it. But if a person I thought was my friend says something hurtful it stays with me for a long time. Jinny Girl 11-16-2002, 02:55 PM thumbs pointes to the side. niether bothr me to much. ALL my life school has been horrible and everyone said mean stuff and tried to trip me or puch me down stairs and would steal or break my things... so i got used to it. ABlairican Pie 11-16-2002, 03:56 PM WORDS DO HURT. I remember an incident in 6th grade when we got let out of school early and this stupid punk wanted to fight me, and I was scared, because I never was a fighter. I was very intimidated, and this weasely little twerp, who NO ONE liked, decided to make me the target of his frustrations. And I can't believed I wasted an entire afternoon enduring his taunts and threats, and waiting for him to land the first blow. I got so upset that I started crying to the manager of the apartment complex:crying: and as I recall, she cheered me up with Coke, and then I had this dumb-ass punk with the skitchy crewcut to deal with. So as he was standing there mouthing his usual crap, I PUNCHED HIM IN THE SIDE OF THE HEAD:smash: :boxing: when he wasn't looking and then he goes, "Oh, whattaya think you're doing? Trying ta be tough, huh??" and then we resumed our fight in the field down the street, and he kept going at it with his taunts. I make a tug at the backside of my jeans and he says, "Aw, going to the show, huh? You're picking your seat!" And I got so mad I chased that little booger all around the field!!!:livid: And he ran away laughing!! But I didn't realize it till later--he TALKED all tough, but he was a WIMP!!! IIII landed the first blows and made the aggressive moves by chasing his sorry ass--but he was a totally cowardly creep!!!! I could have spent quality time watching "Gilligan's Island" and ogling at Ginger:eyes: , BUT NOOOOOOOOOO, I had to deal with this punk's namecalling and threats--FOR NOTHING!!!!! He didn't touch me or anything, not a strike, not a blow, nothing!!! I WAS THE WINNER!!!!! I ACTUALLY DID SOMETHING AGAINST MY "ATTACKER"!!!! But I didn't realize that for years. But the one lesson I learned was that psychological pain was worse than physical pain. I was so intimidated and felt humiliated by this punk more than physical blows, which he gave none. The other lesson was, Ginger sure was hot. DarleneIllyria 11-16-2002, 04:05 PM Originally posted by Lil Kelso :thumbsdow Whoever came up with that saying was never called a mean, nasty name in his life. I've never been punched or hit in my life, but I've heard names such as mental being said to me and freak being said to some guy in my 7th/8th grade math class. My english teacher actually read that poem that year in english class. I basically think of that poem as the theme of my life. :( fr00ti 11-16-2002, 06:54 PM :thumbsdow THAT STATEMENT IS WRONG! words can hurt you really bad. Words hurt, cuz unlike sticks and stones, the wounds are hard to heal. They may never heal. No one has no idea how much one insult or put-down effects someone. |
