I first saw Tina Turner's 1986 album Break Every Rule at CVS but passed on it and now that I got it for Christmas I am curious if Break Every Rule was a bigger bestseller than 1984's Private Dancer? Because I remember hearing that everybody had to own a copy of Private Dancer because it was Tina Turner's best album of the 80's and was Tina hoping for the same success with Break Every Rule in 1986? I also know that Cher covered Paradise Is Here that's also on this album too

When her album Break Every Rule was released in 1986, songs (especially What's Love Got To Do With It) from her previous album Private Dancer was still in heavy rotation on MTV and radio. So it didn't get as much attention and excitement as Private Dancer record. And her movie song "We Don't Need Another Hero" in 1985 was a big hit which shadow her new album also.
