I feel the same way; ugh. I tried to watch it, hoping it would be at least funny, but it was so boring, LOL, just awful. Why it's coming back is beyond me. I doubt it lasts past next year.

I enjoyed Baby Bob but I would much rather see a "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" tv series.
RainMan 11-16-2002, 11:56 AM I hated Baby Bob. If i'm gonna watch something where Babys talk, it's gonna be the Look Who's Talking Series (Not the third one though, ew)

I bet this will replace In-Laws soon and sink as well. NBC is very weak at 8pm-9pm on Tuesdays, ABC and CBS top the overall viewers and ABC on FOX dominate the 18-49 demo in that hour.

Lost at Home with Gregory Hines on ABC this mid-season looks great. Others: AUSA on NBC with Scott Foley, Abby on UPN in January starring Sydney Tamiia Poitier, Coupling on NBC starring Breckin Meyer, and The Pitts on FOX with Dylan Baker. I think that's about it.
I'm looking forward to Dragnet wirth Ed O'Neill. Sitcom wise, I'll try Lost at Home.
Will and Grace Fanatic 11-16-2002, 03:25 PM I can't wait for NBC's version of Coupling. I love the British version. Although I thought they were going to wait till next season to bring that in.

Last I heard that it was suppose to come this March? Maybe it has changed to next season, who knows. The pilot was taped last month though. I'm not anxious for that show at all, it's seems very vulgar, more than Inside Schwartz.
Notorious 11-16-2002, 04:05 PM I am very excited for 'Charlie Lawrence'. Laurie Metcalf is in it, and she can be extremely funny! I wish Roseanne would come back for a new show also...(and not some stupid nickelodeon show!) -- I don't think that 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding' could last as a television show, it'll be cancelled.

Roseanne is coming back this summer on ABC--in a reality/sitcom. Tim Allen is coming back to ABC next fall with a sitcom, but he will produce this time.
AJ2086 11-16-2002, 06:41 PM I hope ABC starts to do better, Michael Eisner was quoted in saying that ABC might not be around in 4-5 years in a meeting this past week. I hope not, ABC used to be the best and if they go away and my soaps go with them I will be upset. VER VERY upset.

Yes but so is Ted Mcginley....

That's not going to happen, ABC and The WB are the only stations who improved in sweeps from this time last year. It is on the right track.
Sitcomwriter 11-17-2002, 12:19 AM IMO either UPN or PAX should go.UPN airs complete and utter crap (with the exceptions of Buffy and Half and Half) and PAX is all sappy (and crappy) dramas. My advice to PAX is that they get a few sitcoms on there (Even if they are sappy and crappy!)

I agree. Pax needs to shape up. Back when it premiered, it used to be fairly good, I mean, at least they had sitcoms (Here's Lucy, The Hogan Family, Dave's World) and other dramas I actually wanted to watch (Eight is Enough; I swear that was on Pax, right) Love Boat was on Pax. I miss the old Pax.
Don't even get me started on UPN. LOL.
Scoobiedoo30 11-23-2002, 04:09 PM I have a felling Watching Ellie will replace In-Laws
On Tuesday Night's @ 7:30 pm central time.
take care
Aaron
I remember "Eight is Enough" airing at 5:00pm (central) on Saturdays. I can't wait for the new "Dragnet," but "Coupling" is bad news, imo.
TVJunkie101 11-23-2002, 06:58 PM I'm looking forward to Dragnet as well. I hope it does fairly well.
Sitcomwriter 11-23-2002, 08:12 PM I'm looking forward to "Coupling" BUT only if it's as smart as "Friends" in it's early years.
Christopher 11-27-2002, 04:12 PM Has a date been set yet on when Baby Bob is returning? I'm looking forward to seeing it again, I love it.
Janice 11-27-2002, 04:18 PM My Big Fat Greek Wedding. I loved the movie.
The Obsolete Man 11-27-2002, 04:28 PM Oh Yeah... Dragnet 2003. Can't wait for that.
...just hope the stories are true, and you forget that Ed O'Neill was Al Bundy in the first few minutes...
Central Perk 11-27-2002, 05:07 PM I hope the My Big Fat Greek Wedding show doesn't have a laugh track and will look like a fox type sitcom, so it sort of captures the look of the movie.

Yeah.Usually I don't like single-camera (No laughtrack) sitcoms (With the exception of a few like "Curb Your Enthusiasm") but the only way MBFGW would work would be if they did it like that but I don't think they will.

Me too! Nathan Lane is a riot, and Laurie Metcalf was always a great supporting actress.

I doubt that they'll put Watching Ellie after Just Shoot Me. They are totally opposite shows...at least In-Laws is kinda like Just Shoot Me I guess...

I would love to see these shows back on PAX as well. I only watch UPN monday nights. I don't watch regularly since the cancellation of Moesha. I like Half and Half, Girlfriends and the Parkers(sometimes).
Frasier W. Crane 12-03-2002, 11:44 PM What I am dreading is them putting baby bob close to where Becker is...

Do you mean having a studio audience? Yeah, that would be just awful for MBFGW! That will ruin the whole show!

Oh My god, I don't even wanna think about that ever happening....If it ever does I will walk all the way down to Disney and give Mikey boy such a Stabbing

Geez, don't say that! That's such a horrible thing! More people should start watching ABC and realize that it's a great network! ABC should not go!

Don't worry ABC is not going anywhere. I don't know how that stupid rumor came about.

Is Coupling that new British show that is going to replace Friends next year? I hope that it is as good as Friends!

I'm pretty sure I heard that it won't be replacing Friends time slot because it's too "adult" for the 8:00pm.

Yeah. It's the American version of the British version of "Friends" which will star Breckin Meyer ("Inside Scwartz","Rat Race") and Melissa George ("Theives","Lost in Oz")!

heres the full cast:
Colin Ferguson
Melissa George

Breckin Meyer
Lindsay Price
Emily Rutherfurd
Brian Damage 12-27-2002, 03:09 PM I just finished watching the pilot episode of The O'Keefes which will debut on the WB in the Spring of 2003.
Central Perk 12-30-2002, 12:47 PM A.U.S.A. will premiere on NBC in Feb. it involves first year lawyers and stars Scott Foley.
Sitcomwriter 12-30-2002, 01:53 PM "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" has been retitled "My Big Fat Greek Life" and will star the entire cast of the movie minus John Corbet who will star in another mid-season comedy "Lucky" which premieres in March.

At least the original cast will be in it. I think that helps it out a lot.
Freakzilla 01-01-2003, 01:27 PM I think "My Big Fat Greek Life" could work. Despite the fact that almost none of these movie-inspired shows work, this could work because it's essentially a female version of Everybody Loves Raymond. You have the newlywed couple living next-door to her parents. Hopefully, it'll be smartly written and the windex gags will be spaced out.
