Nancy and Sue Ann were actually better looking than Blair and wonder if they were even chosen for anything else. I think Nancy was best looking one

Nancy was attractive. But her character didn't add anything to the show, Natalie and Jo were a lot more integral in the long run. I agree Sue Ann was let go too early.

had no idea the girl who played Sue Ann guest starred on Three's Company in its last season. I remember the episode but I didnt know that was her. And I dont remember Nancy on Alice

she was 20 when she did that episode and they had her acting like a 15 year old air head lol

Felice played Phillip McKeon's date in the Easter episode where Tommy moved in with Mel. Nancy McKeon appeared twice on the show.

I think they made the right choices with who stayed and who left and who was added. Even though Blair stayed her character changed. She acted mean like a slut in the first few episodes and her mother was a rich tramp married 3 times. In episode 2 Blair confronts her mother and breaks down saying she wants to not turn out just like her.

I like how they just grounded Blair for being rich, spoiled and attractive
Jo really added dynamic with a regular lower income class to go head to head with Blair
Natalie was the chubby friendly one trying to figure out life
Tootie was the cute adorable one trying to act more grown up

It worked well IMHO. There is a thread posted here about a year ago from one of the writers. They were tasked with revamping the show. The writers could not understand they are in upstate NY or New England and the girls were always running around in shorts. They cleverly wrote how the girls interacted with each other rather than one plot and each girl gets a few lines. The revamp really worked IMHO.

Which made the crossovers unrealistic between FOL and DS since Manhattan wasnt nowhere near Upstate NY

I still buy it. Drummond was rich. Put Arnold in a private car/cab, have him driven directly to the school. Or put him on a bus or train with Mrs. Garrett waiting at the station. It was only an hour. Not like he was hitchhiking there.
