Happy new year family!

I just moved to Orlando, FL and there are myriad UM
locations/incident sites within the Orlando/Daytona/Cocoa Beach metros.

Off the top of my head here are some:

Eileen Mangold
Deborah Poe
John/Virginia Constable
Sunny Sands Nudist Resort
Tinker Field (Orlando Juice/Philip Breen)
Pamela June Ray motel

I’m sure I’m forgetting a bunch. But I was wondering if there was any
interest in making exploring these sites a big fan meetup long weekend.
It would be so awesome to nerd out with fellow UM heads at the actual sites
these stories occurred.

I’m sure hotels would offer discounts for block of rooms. But that’s all thinking ahead.

Let me know your thoughts and Send me a message if interested!

Don’t forget Tommy Zeiglar over in Winter Garden.

Pamela June Ray is Panama City Beach which is a good 7-8 hours from Orlando. The Wilhite is long since gone with a high rise condo built on the site.

Thanks for the intel. I’m still learning the geography. Everything in Charleston, SC started at 15 minutes away *♂️

I’m serious about this. Even if it’s a day thing where we all get lunch and go to a few sites

that is a pretty cool idea. Now that I have retired from the Air Force I work in Lockhart Texas. not a place that I ever thought that I would be. I did not move to Lockhart though. Lockhart does have an UM segment, chance and dub wackerhagen. I don't think that I would make it to Florida but I do want to visit Sanibel Island one day again. and maybe the Fort Lauderdale area or north of there. My bucket list location was always Marfa and I finally got to go there. Can't wait to go back and hike in the area and also stargaze while I'm waiting for the lights to pop up. The stars are definitely big and bright there. never seen it like that anywhere else that I've been. I also want to visit Santa Fe, Death Valley, and Pike's Peak.
