I was watching the CATM show where Ed sings in the bar.I thought it was so sad when Chico said he was worried that Ed was slipping into the past and he thought someone had to go find him(Ed)

Also when Chico was telling Louie that it's ok to visit the past but that Ed should look to the future.
I just wanted to cry when he said that because I thought if some of his "friends"could have tried harder to help him get better instead of helping him get drugs(D.B.) they could have persuaded him to look to his future with little Freddie.
I just got weepy.
ps. I wonder if any of Freddie Sr friends other than Jay leno, have ever met Freddie Jr or if Jr has contact with any of them? Do you know?

That show was rather sad,but there was Chico right there for Ed knowing full well that his friend was slipping into the past. Chico was willing to bring Ed back to the present and be there for him. Just like I believe Jack would of done for Freddie all he had to do was go to Jack. Jack was Freddies only true friend in Hollywood, well thats what I believe.

Yes, this episode was very sad and ironic. Because of the words Freddie spoke, all I could think about was the sadness he had to be experiencing later on. It is really a fine example of how caring and concerned he was about Jack/Ed. It was really a tender episode that brought tears to my eyes.

I agree with you Anna,
Everytime i see Freddie and Jack together I think what a marvelous friendship they had.
I bet if Freddie had turned to Jack that between Freddie's parents and the Albertsons they could and would have helped him

I think if Jack had known what was really wrong, he would've tried to help him...
