In the episode Jan's Aunt Jenny from Season 3, one of the funniest scenes had always been cut out in all of the decades I've seen reruns. Every Brady Bunch fan is familiar with this episode -- Jan corresponds with her "soul-sister" Aunt Jenny and at first, isn't too thrilled about meeting (played by Imogene Coco -- sorry if I messpelled her name.)her. The subplot consisted of the Bradys cleaning out the attic.
In the scene I'm referring to, Mike Brady is in his den repairing a 1920s gramophone with a Morning Glory horn. Here's the part that was always edited out of the reruns.
Bobby was playing with horn/speaker, first using it as a bullhorn, pretending to be the police who had the house surrounded. Mike made a comment to him and Bobby then acts like an elderly gentleman who cannot hear well using the horn as an ear trumpet.
I'm glad the episodes are fully intact on the DVDs. I just wish I would've watched The Brady Bunch before losing my sight last year--that way I would've at least seen these new scenes. But as I was watching I was imagining it. The scene probably came out funnier in my mind than on the screen. Still though, I really enjoyed that scene.
