The episode "Don Juan Beaver" comes on tonight! I love this ep! Its so funny! It's the one where beaver asks a girl named peggy to the dance but then he wants to ask a new girl in school from south carolina named melinda instead...he feels bad and decides to go with peggy, but she already found another date and beaver ends up dateless! It's a great ep! I especially love it when June answers the phone and it's for beaver, and when ward asks if it's peggy, and June says "No. This one has a 'suthun acceeeunt'". It's really funny to hear her talk with a southern accent...she kinda sounds like some people in my family!:D

I'm watching Don Juan Beaver now and I just realized something, Violet Rutherford (Veronica Cartwright) was on 'The Twilight Zone'. She was in the 'I Sing the Body Electric' episode. I knew the girl in that episode looked familiar.

Are you talking about how she says "Yes, me and Elsa Maxwell"?

I think he can actually dance, its just the style of dancing was different back then. In one of the Leave it to Beaver books (I THINK its Jerry Mather's autobiography), Richard Correll, who plays Richard Rickover, mentions that Jerry's always been a great dancer.

Well, yeah...I guess he was pretty...uh...smooth. I guess maybe it's just I'm not used to the dances they did back then. I don't know why, it just hit me as incredibly funny! I guess it's because Beav (although still cute) was going through his awkward years and practically anything he did made him look funny.

She also played Cathy in the Hitchcock movie The Birds and her sister was one of the children in Sound of Music

She was also one of the crew members in the original "Alien" movie. Her sister was on "Lost in Space."

Veronica Cartwright was also nominated for an Emmy Award for her guest appearance on The X-files, and sister Angela was also a cast member of the sitcom Make Room for Daddy.

The list goes on and on.;)

Oh, wow. I've never noticed that Violet Rutherford is Cathy in The Birds. I've seen that movie a thousand times. I'll have to watch a little closer the next time. Whenever that'll be..:D

I've never seen any of the other stuff Veronica was in. Don't worry about not recognizing her completely. I bet you recognized her a bit. That's how I usually do. Who is that? They look so familiar? I rack my brain and try to remember what I saw her in and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

Yes, Smooth... Also after June answered the phone Ward Asked if it was the same girl that called earlyer, June replyed: "No this on talked with a southern accent" In A Southern Accent! Which cracked me up!

As funny as it may appear today, this is really the way we danced in the early 60's. Beaver was actually doing a very good job dancing (except it may have been a little slow). With the music blaring and the adrenalin flowing he could really get going with the moves he was using.
