Sheinelle Jones, the “Today” veteran who has gained notice over the years by co-anchoring the weekend and 9 a.m. weekday editions of the NBC News morning franchise, will become the permanent co-host at 10 a.m. with Jenna Bush Hager.

Jones is expected to join Bush Hager live at 10 a.m. Tuesday to announce the new arrangement formally to viewers.

Hoda Kotb is weighing in on Sheinelle Jones taking over her seat next to Jenna Bush Hager on "Today's" show for the fourth hour.

Kotb left the NBC morning talk show earlier this year, and Bush Hager has had a rotating group of guest co-hosts since then. After almost a year, it was announced that Jones would become the permanent co-host of the show’s fourth hour.



“OK. I am weeping,” Kotb shared on Instagram after news broke that Jones was joining Bush Hager.

“Just watched Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones show us what a match made in heaven looks like. So proud of you both.”
