I had never figured out how in the world Tony Bennett became popular and why people liked his music. Was it because Tony tried to compete with Frank Sinatra or was it because Tony Bennett had a uniqueness to him? I can never figure out why it seemed when he was alive every singer tried to do duets with Tony Bennett? But every time I turn on Pandora they always play a lot of Tony Bennett's songs. Was this because Tony Bennett wanted to become as big as Wayne Newton and Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin? I also cannot figure out how even though he's been dead since the beginning of the 2020's how Tony Bennett's albums are still giant sellers to this day

Tony Bennet was as big as likes of singers like Frank Sinatra or Dean Martin. But kept a lower profile because he wasn't acting in movies and TVs like Frank or Dean did. He had a voice quality labeled "Olive Oil" voice which alot of his songs were used in Italian/Gangster/Mafia movies.
He even was mentioned in Godfather movie where in one scene where a celebration was going on-as Michael (Pacino) was leaving, the lounge singer asked Michael where he was going. Michael said he was going to the other room to listen to Tony Bennet :D
