Tonight on Jimmy Kimmel was a group called The Neighborhood. Are there any others. I figure there must be at least a few. It’s late. Am I overlooking anything obvious?

They spell it as The Neighbourhood (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Neighbourhood) (abbreviated as the nbhd), but it's close enough.

Arrested Development

I started thinking maybe The Monkees could fit. Started off fictional but eventually became a real life touring band.

Not quite the same - country rock band Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen ('67-'76), inspired by Commando Cody: Sky Marshall of the Universe ('55).

I don’t know if I’d say The Partridge Family reached “real band” status like The Monkees did.

But I’d be willing to be talked into it….

Living Colour (the band) and 'In Living Color' were close, having been popular at the same time.
