Where did you get tour info about Freddie being abused?
Who do they think did it?
What a terrible thing if it's true,it makes you think that he(Freddie probably took pills to forget. I hope it's not true but it sure sheds light on a few things.

I think he was abused by his father somehow. I know his psychological report said that he was frightened of the adults in his home and wished to leave as soon as possible.

If anybody else has any info on this, please share!

Oh man that is soo sad. I knew it couldn't be his mom cuz she seems so sweet from reading about her. I think I read where Freddie loved his dad but they didn't always get along.

When I read Maria's book she made it sound like Freddie's father loved him and was ,as she put it,as good to Freddie as he could be.
He wasn't able to get emotionallly close to Freddie because of the guilt he felt for the death of his daughter during his first marriage.(He was supposed to be watching his daughter when she drownd in the families pool.) I thought it sounded like Freddie and his father were just not properly bonded.no mention of abuse but maybe maria didn't know about it.

hey guys,

see the psychological insights section of my website at www.prinze-sr.cityslide.com (http://www.prinze-sr.cityslide.com)

Freddie gave an interview to a psychologist shortly before he became a star. There are some interesting comments he made about his relationship with his father in there...

Wow, Croiter. I love your website. Thank you so much for your hard work. You have posted pictures and article that I have never seen before. Interesting. Sounds like the abuse may have come from his fater. But, in all fairness to his father, he had been married before and had a daughter that drowned. This could be where some of the "distance" came from in his relatioship with Freddie. I think the father was not watching the little girl as he should have been and that's why she died. If I remember correctly.

That portion of Freddie's psychological make up and feelings for his family sure sound different from what you read in Maria's book.
It makes you wonder who really knew Freddie?
Did his mom know what was going on as far as the drugs and dealing at 16 and can't admit it as well as the way Freddie was feeling about his family, or is that test just made up theories on the part of doctors
to dramatize things even more than they were.
That interview and Maria;s book are like 2 different people

When I read Maria's book I was under the impression that Freddie was over-protected and he asked a lot from his mother. She sounded as though she always gave in to Freddie's needs and the things he wanted. I don't know if she knew about his drugs or not
but I think she wanted to present Freddie's image to the public after he was gone as innocent as possible. I really did not get
any kind of understanding about his relationship with his father. For some reason I did not remember about Mr. Pruetzel
losing a daughter during his first marriage.
Was that mentioned in the book?

It was mentioned in the book in the very beginning. Maria said that this was the story about Maria and Freddie (not Karl and Freddie). She wrote that Karl was very traumatized because he was suppose to be watching his young daughter (from another marriage) at the time and he was busy fixing & hammering something and the little girl fell and drowned in the pool. When Freddie was born it was hard for him to (Maybe) feel close to his own son because of the accident that happened with the daughter.

I can't help but feel a lot of sadness in my heart for Karl. First his daughter drowns, then his son dies of a gunshot. No wonder Karl died a few years after Freddie.

So sad what happend to the dad. If Freddie had lived to see his dad die, I think he would've been really hurt over it...
