On the first episode of Happy Day's, (not the special, Love American Style) Joanie is not in the show, however at the end , when the Cunninghams are eating dinner and the credits are rolling Joanie has blond hair. Who is that?

I think you are mistaken, Erin Moran was in the 1st episode of Happy Days 'All the Way'. In the Love, American Style episode the blond Joanie was played by Susan Neher.

In the 1st Happy Days episode there is a scene where they are eating dinner that she's in.

Isn't it true that Erin got the part at the last minute? I heard that the producers were set to go with this Susan but changed their mind when they saw Erin & noticed how cute she was!

I got the "unaired pilot" off of eBay (maybe it's actually the Love, American Style episode...but it has the HD open and ending credits) which looks like it's basically the same as the "aired" first episode, (All The Way) except with 2 scenes revolving around the dinner table with a different daughter. (she was never actually referred to as Joanie or any other name in the script). My guess is they changed Joanies, reshot just those 2 scenes, and aired the show.

Interesting. Who was credited as the daughter? Susan Neher? Or was there another Joanie that we haven't heard about before?

It didn't say. Her name wasn't in the credits, nor was "Chuck's".
