Cher’s contribution to entertainment has been varied, as it has been timeless. Rising to prominence in the ‘60s as part of the folk duo with her husband Sonny Bono, the singer would go on to be one of the best-selling pop icons of all time. Following the success of the Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour, Cher went on to have a successful acting career as well, leading films such as Witches of Eastwick and Moonstruck. However, it was an iconic spy series that featured an underrated performance.

At the height of her career, Cher appeared in the series, The Man From U.N.C.L.E., a classic ‘60s relic. The series details the fictional international spy organization, United Network Command for Law and Enforcement. Starring Robert Vaughn and NCIS’s own David McCallum. Playing Napoleon Solo and Illya Kuryakin, respectively, the two team up to take down the crime syndicate, THRESH, also known as Technological Hierarchy for the Removal of Undesirables and the Subjugation of Humanity. In a James Bond-influenced era, spy stories were incredibly prominent and marked the start of a strong acting trajectory for Cher.
