Hey,
I'm sure I've said this before but I just want to thank all of you for making me feel so welcome.
I have been a fan of Freddie's for a long time but it's difficult to talk to my friends and family about it because I know they would think I was cheese and cracker for talking so much about a guy whose died
But here it's so much fun because we can share, laugh, use our immaginations, and remember Freddie and even pretend we knew him.(for those of us not lucky enough to have really known him).
Thanks again.
ps. the role play is funny/although I do sometimes get confused as to who is who.
I agree Joy this is a wonderful place to be. Everyone is so kind. I refer to the Freddie lovers here as my new family. I`ve been here a short time but, I`ve never felt so welcomed.

Welcome Joy... I feel the same away about Freddie. There are so many things from this message board that I would like to talk to my family members and boyfriend about, but they think I am nuts. But that is ok. To each his own. Sometimes my relatives will talk about things that don't interest me, but I listen out of respect. My grandma liked Freddie. She is gone now, but she thought he had the saddest eyes. Something made me think about her making that comment about him years ago. My mom has said to me--- I don't know how you can stand to watch that (Chico episodes). Then she said I used to like it till I found out he took drugs. My mom was born in 1925 so I have to give her a break, but the next time she makes a comment like that to me I am going to say to her, you have no trouble watching Robert Downey Jr on Ally McBeal. So what's the difference my dear. I will always love Freddie, and I have learned a few new things about him from reading this board. All of us "good girls" could show him a fine time!!!!

Welcome folks! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
I know how ya'll feel. My folks think I'm too obsessed with Arlo Guthrie. But he's mroe than just a favorite star he's a friend. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif They think I'm too obsessed over my favorite stars anyway. I haven't let them know about Freddie yet cuz they'd be wondering why I have started liking someone who liked himself & did those pills. I have told them I lke the show. My hubby is very understanding of me liking my favorite stars & adding Freddie to them. Cuz he's abig Elvis fan & loves his favorite stars too! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
It nice to share our obsessions here. We are with like minds. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

Welcome All! I am in full agreement with each of you. This message board has been tremendously helpful to me. I, too, have no one I can discuss Freddie Prinze, Sr. with. When the tragedy occurred in 1977, I took it so hard that family members, even then, made a few comments, so I learned to just deal with it on my own. That is why I am so grateful for all of you! It helps so much to speak with others of like minds and interests. It is wonderful to see so many who recognize his great talent and share grief in the untimely and tragic loss of someone so special. I need you guys, don't ever leave. Thank you again for all you are doing to help in what I do not think we will ever fully get over. FREDDIE FOREVER!

Atlangel I have to agree. Luckily my hubby understands me. I married a wonderful man who lets me be me. Some other man would probably think I am obsessed with Freddie but, he understands me. You are right Atlangel Freddie was taken away from us too soon. We never really grieved or had a forum in which to tell our feelings.

welcome again Joy and thank you for joining role play as Sharon. I added your name to the credits, so you can go to the first page of role play and see your name.
When did you first learn about Freddie Prinze?
thank you
tracy
tracy-prinze,
I vaugely remember CATM when it was first on,in fact I forgot all about it till I caught the opening song as I was channel surfing when the program was in syndicaion in my highschool days. From the first time I saw those dreamy eyes and that adorable accent I was hooked. It's been 15 years since I graduated so I've been a fan a long time. That's why I'm so thankful for this message board and all these great sites. I hope this doesn't sound weird but it almost makes me think he's still alive when there are these wonderful things going on to remind us of his talent-and need I say good looks?
