It was on this day 56 years ago -- November 10, 1969 -- that Sesame Street officially premiered!
The show has continued ever since, with new characters joining the show as the cast of humans and puppets expanded, and the show changing as the world has changed. But for the most part, we still see some of our favourite friends on Sesame Street everyday, whether you watched when you were a kid, if you watched with your kids, or if your kids are showing their kids.
