I watched a 1982 episode of Three's Company where Jack was applying for a loan for his Bistro. At the bank, the loan officer had a computer on her desk.
This got me to thinking--what's your first memory of computers on television shows? At point were they the norm?

I don't remember the year, but I recall an episode of the Odd Couple with computer dating. That was in the seventies. Of course, back then computers were about 7 feet tall and weighed about a ton. ;)

Yup, in 1983. The episode was Store Games and it was a great ep!

There's an episode of IDOJ that had a computer dating service and that episode aired in 1969 also Bewitched had an episode in which they had computer dating, of course these computers were enormous and had flashing lights and all. LOL!

And in an episode called "Dear Apple", at least I think it was that one. Where Jo talks to a computer about Blair.

In the episode of "Silver Spoons" with Arnold from DS, they showed a computer. Ricky (I forget his character's name) was on a computer and hacked into secret government files on accident.

The first computer I remember seeing on a tv show would have to be on Family Ties. :)

I think that is the oldest show I remember seeing a computer on, besides maybe TC?
