I have never figured out why PAX TV decided to rename itself I in the 2000's? Because in my eyes I was a very unappealing name for PAX TV and they could've called it PAX Family instead of I. I think the reason why PAX TV decided to name itself I was because I think they were trying to gain a more mature audience and adopt a different image that was different from the clean family oriented image of PAX TV. What PAX TV could've done instead of renaming itself was add more shows like more game shows and reruns of classic sitcoms and that could've saved PAX TV from changing itself to I. When I saw I on vacation in Texas I thought "this is just PAX TV with a different name" and the only difference I saw was they added new game shows and Growing Pains reruns but other than that it was the same lineup. To me this was a BIG mistake for PAX TV to do and they should've learned the hard way because when you are a TV network renaming yourself hurts your identity and makes you lose viewers

I think PAX TV was doomed when it was announced that it was gonna have a name change and many viewers thought the new name might gain new viewers. But why PAX called itself I is a mystery and why I was chosen as PAX TV's new identity i'll never know the answer to? Because I truly think PAX TV had plans for attracting a new adult audience by no longer having the family type of image and heading toward the direction of crime dramas and mystery shows and what I could have done was add an original game show block and developed a series of original reality shows. But I think they thought crime dramas and mystery shows made a TV network successful this is the route I went for and that's why I failed and became ION Television today

What I also think hurt PAX TV with the I name change was the changes they made. And when the announcement trailer aired for I PAX TV watchers were surprised to know that PAX was getting a new name and image and they should've left the family image alone instead of going for a new name and image. I mainly think that renaming itself I was a way for PAX TV to save itself from going bankrupt
