Lol.... well obviously I don't cook turkeys yet, but my dad always wakes up early to put it on. Usually around 7 a.m. to eat for about 2 p.m.....

Why don't you consult a cookbook? Just don't use Martha Stewart's...I don't think you want a pastel turkey.

It's one of the easiest things to cook. The directions are on the inside label. If it's frozen, 4-5 lbs. = 1 day in the refridgerator to thaw. Cooking times vary for stuffed vs. not stuffed.
www.butterball.com has all of the basics for preparing the turkey, stuffing, gravy, etc...

Have you eaten there lately, I had to break out my steak knives the last time I got their "turkey breast" take-out.

Are you an "aweful" cook? or an "awful cook? an aweful cook means you are awe inspiring! I'm guessing you mean "awful" (terrible)

Most turkeys give directions on the packaging. But I recommend using a plastic roasting bag. You can find them in any grocery store (in the plastic bag, aluminum foil section)and they roast the most juicy turkeys! Good luck! Let us know how it turns out!:) :turkey:

noo! amanda! save the turkeys!

my mom usally orders it from vons or albertsons or something. she calls them a week before thanksgiving and i think it's 30 bucks for the dead turkey and gravy, mashed potoes, and bread. so if all else fails, you can always try that.
