Was there ever a recorded version of the Cheers theme with the verse about singin' the blues when the home teams lose???? I can't find one so I am assuming that there isn't one... but if there wasn't one, then how would anyone know about it??? Thanks to anyone who may be able to help me out here!

I don't believe that it was ever in the "Cheers" theme, I think that it was just left out of the song cause it really didn't go with the show. :confused:

that verse (see my signature below) was the original first verse of the song (instead of Making your way in the world today...). James Burrows told the songwriters to make it a little more generalized, since they didn't know where the show was exactly going yet (the theme was all about Sam's character).

it was never recorded and released publically.
i found out it was in a book of Histories of Tv Themes or something like that.
