I wonder how this show is doing in the ratings. I like each episode more than the last as each character is being developed. The racial storyline with Sam being harassed by Tommy is heartbreaking. JJ's reaction makes me respect him a lot. I couldn't help but wonder if there was any symbolism intended as that awful locker scene was played against the backdrop of Marvin Gaye's performance--A black man singing, Can I get a witness?
Helen's journey of expanding her horizons is interesting, as is Jack's reaction to it all. I wonder if Robby Benson will be a semi-regular? It was nice seeing him again.
Meg in her room, dancing in her pajamas, in the final scene as the camera did a wide arial shot was great. She's a little doll.
I love the music throughout the show. This family is slowly working its way into my heart. Gee, that sounds corny, but it's true.
This show had better make it. :)
