So Eunice and Ed were shown to not have a healthy marriage, which was very turbulent. Usually it was Mama instigating most of their fights and discord. So I'm wondering what their marriage was like AFTER they moved away to Florida and were totally out from under Mama's thumb. According to flashbacks they were VERY IN LOVE when they first dated, so I'm wondering if they reconnected, and had a happier marriage.

Unlike we get to see Mama without Eunice, we don't really ever get to see Eunice *and Ed* without Mama, so I'm curious as to how they were without her.

It almost makes me wish they'd done a couple of Family Sketches just focusing on Eunice and Ed, in which Mama doesn't appear, just to see what their alone life is like

Its just one of those things that is inconsistent. In the sketches there were 2 boys and not just Bubba. Ed leaves Eunice. Then Eunice dies. Mamas Family begins with no mention of Bubba until the syndication years. Ed is around in both segments of Mamas Family but we only see him in one.
Another reason why I like the NBC years. We even get to see Ed and Eunice's house.
