I came across the entire season 11 yesterday and watched it. I was astonished honestly at how different the music is! Add Virginia Madsen to Robert Stack and you get creepy!

I liked Madsen's narration...I wish they would have left it in for the Film Rise episodes but they seem to want to scrub any idea that there were other hosts besides Stack and Farina.

I'm speculating here but I would not be surprised if it was a rights issue and it was easier to use the dub without her.

As to Farina...those never should have been released, as they were already a repackage of the originals. No point in duplicating them.

The sad part is Farina would have been a good host for new material, but instead they just used his talent to rehash what already existed.

I'm sorry, but we never needed any kind of co-host, and women were never a proper fit for the show. Please don't take this as misogyny. It's just that a man's deep narrative voice is what was always needed. Women's voices could never carry the same creepiness for the job, IMO.

What is strange is that Burr and Malden's narration was just fine and we would have been great with either if they had continued in the role and we didn't know about RS as an option! Farina was terrible. Keely and Virginia just made the whole experience of watching the show lighter and fluffier, and that isn't what I was looking for as a viewer. Even if they had chosen a male co-host, it would have fallen flat. The exchange of dialogue between main host and co-host doesn't work for UM. It's also awful on any of the latest incarnations of AMW with Walsh and his kid. One host is all that is needed.
