I called Video Connection today to see how much it costs to put a VHS on DVD....and do you know what they told me!?!??!?!? For 2 hours, four episodes of Friends to be put on DVD would cost me $70!!! I am sooo mad! I didn't think that it would cost that much!

I thought it might be $10 at the most! All I wanted to do was put all the season 9 episodes from NBC so far on DVD! Stupid bastards! LOL!

I'd just wait until the prices for recorders and blank DVD's came down and buy one myself. That's what I'm doing.:D

It's not that $70 is a lot, it's that its for 4 half hour episodes. Pants, I understand :D

The technology to do it yourself is already here, it's just cost prohibitive for most. I'd do like TV Favorites is doing...just be a little patient and in a few years you can probably do it yourself for cheaper. Even if you end up spending way more than $70 on the equipment (which you surely would), you would be able to use it over and over and over again to record many DVDs.
