View Full Version : This is stupid!
FOLrocks1 11-10-2002, 08:27 PM I called Video Connection today to see how much it costs to put a VHS on DVD....and do you know what they told me!?!??!?!? For 2 hours, four episodes of Friends to be put on DVD would cost me $70!!! I am sooo mad! I didn't think that it would cost that much!
DarleneIllyria 11-10-2002, 09:01 PM Damn. That is an insane price for just 4 episodes.
FOLrocks1 11-10-2002, 09:04 PM I thought it might be $10 at the most! All I wanted to do was put all the season 9 episodes from NBC so far on DVD! Stupid bastards! LOL!
Mr. Shy Guy 11-10-2002, 09:09 PM That's ridicoulous! I hope that's not the same price everywhere.
Kay Scarpetta 11-10-2002, 09:14 PM OMG $70?!?! That's ridiculous...
TV Favorites 11-10-2002, 09:26 PM I'd just wait until the prices for recorders and blank DVD's came down and buy one myself. That's what I'm doing.:D
Jinny Girl 11-10-2002, 09:40 PM am i the only person who DOESN'T think 70 bux is that much money?... I used to buy pants that cost 70 bux, and shirts that cost 50. but thats because i had issues.
fr00ti 11-10-2002, 09:43 PM that is a freakin rip. i wouldnt pay that.
Georgia's on my Mind 11-10-2002, 09:54 PM check ebay, They have offers on there that is ALOT cheaper than that
Crimson and Clover 11-10-2002, 10:54 PM that sucks!!
¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 11-10-2002, 11:06 PM I believe it. Ugh. Its cheaper to just tape it yourself

It's not that $70 is a lot, it's that its for 4 half hour episodes. Pants, I understand :D
Bootsy Whoosh 11-11-2002, 06:43 PM The technology to do it yourself is already here, it's just cost prohibitive for most. I'd do like TV Favorites is doing...just be a little patient and in a few years you can probably do it yourself for cheaper. Even if you end up spending way more than $70 on the equipment (which you surely would), you would be able to use it over and over and over again to record many DVDs.
