What would your parents have done?

I am not so sure that mine would have been so calm like Ward.

Had we lived in a house where that would have been possible (a tub over a ceiling), I'm thinking my mother would have gotten her hairbrush out. And not to brush her hair!

Ward was thinking there could have been a problem with the construction--the ceiling just let go. He knew Beaver was always goofing stuff up--he should have immediately thought, what could Beaver have done now? Especially since he and June were away for the weekend.

It would have been obvious that Water caused it - the wood lathe would stay wet for days +- but thats Hollywood

I probably would have been more punished for lying about it lol

FACT IS: tubs have an overflow Drain built into the Pop Up Assembly switch - but thats Hollywood

Ward might have attributed the problem to a leak in the tub's drainage pipe or supply piping. Although a very slow leak would initially stain the horsehair plaster, so trouble would've been apparent for some time before the plaster let loose.

Anyway, the fact that this happened directly under the tub was a sure sign that it was a water-related issue, not a random construction failing.
