The Big Bang Theory's Penny, Sheldon Cooper and Bernadette Rostenkowski are all very different people, but on the show they did have one thing in common: they had to work hard to show the world that they were more than just the stereotypes they seemed to fit into. Bernadette's intense personality could make her seem a little mean at times, but her fearlessness and willingness to stand up for herself and others was also what made her so beloved! Sheldon's entire sense of self was centered around always being the smartest person in the room, but over the show he grew to realize there are also a lot of other things that matter in life. Penny started out in the Dumb Blonde box, but quickly carved out her own special place on the show, and ended up becoming one of the show's most important characters.
