I've always considered this show to good for the WB network.

Have you ever compared "Reba," to the other shows on WB?... if you have, you might get my point.

I also think its to good for the WB. But if it was on any of the 3 major networks (NBC, CBS, ABC) It would get slaughtered. Well, maybe not slughtered but its good for the WB. Think about it...

I have thought about that too. I mean, it's thier highest rated comedy! Although I don't think it would do too great on one of the 3 major networks.

I don't think so. I mean ABC, and some of the larger networks seem to have problems keeping good shows on air. The WB, is one of my favorite networks. Not only does it play Reba, but 2 more of my favorites "What I Like About You" and ''7th Heaven" !! I think The WB is finally making a name for itself, and I think thats good!:)

Bottom line is that the WB should be grateful for Reba...in any case.

Reba's great on the WB. It's slightly too good for it, but not good enough for the major networks, so it's kind of in a weird middle.

It's WAY too good! I think 'Reba' could do well on ABC... But, I think 'Reba' is funnier than anything there...

I like it on WB but I think it could do well on ABC also.

WB IS making a name for itself.

I just LOVE watching California Dreams on Saturdays.

But Reba is a very good show, but I also agree it wouldn't do goo on ABC or any of the other stations, simply, because... well, it just wouldn't :D.

I don't understand what your getting at. The show is awesome and it's on the air, isn't that enough. I'd rather it be too good for the WB than not good enough for abc, nbc, or cbs.

Reba is a great series and i do consider it a little bit above average compared to most WB series, especially the comedies and i have wondered what kind of ratings it would get on another network, i think it would fit in well at CBS or ABC...

CBS could air it on Wed nights after or before The King Of Queens or Monday nights after Still Standing....

ABC could air it on Tuesdays before Less Than Perfect or anytime on Friday nights, i could see it working well w/ Life W/ Bonnie or Hope and Faith...

It would not last at all on NBC, they would cancel it after 1 episode.

FOX would do nothing for it either.. and UPN doesn't count.

Reba would make a very nice fit right where it is, only on ABC. It seems to fit in with the family oriented non-offensive type shows ABC is really into right now.

CBS? maybe. NBC? Yeah, right. If it doesn't take place in a city, NBC doesn't want it. Fox? Not a chance in hell. The main demo of this show is not young men. The UPN? Well, maybe if Reba woke up black tomorrow, because black led sitcoms are the only thing that seems to be working for that network.

It should stay on the WB. ABC always seems to cancel family oriented programs in favor of adult entertainment (*cough* NYPD BLUES *cough*)

ABC dropped both Step by Step & Family Matters - so how do we know they wouldn't have ditched Reba after 2 seasons?

well to give ABC credit, both Family Matters and Step By Step had run its course by the time ABC canceled them.

Who knows it could’ve been cancelled earlier on another network but it also could’ve lasted longer since the other networks didn’t rebrand in 2006.

I feel like Reba had a good run. Maybe it if had been on another network, it would have lasted longer. But maybe not. 127 episodes is a very solid run.

I've read a theory (https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/28373-reba/?do=findComment&comment=4305982) that suspects that The WB (Warner Brothers) resented having to air a show that it did not own. Reba was created and owned by 20th Century Fox as opposed to Warner Bros. And networks tend not to treat shows that they don't own very well and actively tried to sabotage the show because of it.
