I woke up at 5:00 AM to see the first episode of Chico and the man. Poor Chico went through alot trying to work for Ed huh? Anyway, I enjoyed seeing Freddie again. He was looking healthy and GOOD! I especially loved to see him in the barrel taking his shower and when he came out with his robe on..... I got to check out his legs but, my favorite was when he was getting frisked. WOOOOOOOOOOO! I wish it was me frisking him. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

I think Chico looks like two completely different people - one from the beginning episodes and one from the final episodes.
At the beginning I think he looks just like the Freddie his mother talks about in her book. At the end he has the appearance of a
tired, very mature, somewhat depressed but yet very handsome man who has had more than he can handle in life. For those of you who have the shows taped - check it out, I'm sure you know what I mean. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/frown.gif

I agree, in the early years, he did appear to be healthy and happy. But right before our eyes, we saw this change. Towards the end where he had lost so much weight and they were using extra make-up... it is just so sad.

My hubby & I were discussing recently that when the show was origionally on neither of us noticed a change in him. But now watching again the episodes knowing what happened & reading stuff on here it makes you notice more how he'd changed. Still he doesn't look too bad to me. I think he tried really hard not to let it show. Bless his dear heart!
