Just out of curiousity, if Happy Days was currently running and you were assigned to write the show's final episode, what would you change? Would Chachi and Joanie ever get married? Would they find someone else? Would you pair up Fonzie with someone? Can you think of a person who you'd like to see Fonzie, Chachi, Joanie wind up with in the end? What would happen to Potsie?

Joanie and Chachi Would marry, Fonzie would marry Ashley after adopting his son...Richie would move back ot milwaukee and Potsie would marry Jennifer Jerome. And Everyone Would Live Happily Ever After.

I agree with Ashley marrying Fonzie. I think Ashley and Heather added such a deeper warmth to Fonz's character. I think Fonzie made an awesome father figure. Most guys can't pull that off. Then again, most guys couldn't begin to do anything the Fonz can. I did think it was perfect that Fonz adopted a son! Though, he really needed a wife. His character made a complete metamorphasis within the last season-- he was ready to settle down and marry. Anyone know why the writers decided to split him and Ashley up?

Falling rateings They WERE sopposed to marry at the end of the 8th or 9th season but falling rateings canceled that idea..:(

Umm.. Since everyone else is already married, ya, Joanie and Chachi. Also, Fonzie doesnt get that kid. Instead, he becomes a daredevil. No wait. Ugh, him and Arnold and Al own Arnolds all together. But Fonzies still the coolest!:cool:

I would also keep the show running a little while longer. Then I would do an extravaganza ending to end all endings. Not only would Joanie and Chachi get married, Fonzie and Ashley would get married, Fonzie would adopt both Danny and Heather. They have big celebration. Everyone would be there: Ralph, Richie, Pinky, Leather, Spike, Sticks, Bag, that angel dude that saved Chachi's soul from going to the devil, Laverne, Shirley, Carmine, Lenny, Squiggy, Frank, Edna, Mork, Mindy, Mearth, Everybody you can think of. Cross and Crawford would cater the affair and Father Delvecchio would perform the ceremony. I would beg and plead with people do the final episode. Did I forget anyone? Oh Yeah, the piece de resistance.

Kirk shows up with tickets, threatening to fine the Cunninghams and Fonzie for disturbing the peace and a bunch of other stupid things. Mork steps to the front of the crowd, has a few words with Kirk, who in turn calls Mork a commie pinko, Mork points his powerful Orkan finger at Kirk, changing his uniform into a strait jacket. Two men in white coats carrying butterfly nets, come and take a hollering, wailing, defeated Kirk away to the nuthatch.

The ceremony continues, vows are exchanged, Fonzie and Chachi kiss their brides, There isn't a dry eye in the yard. Father Delvecchio announces them husbands and wives and the celebration commences and then the happy couples are off to their honeymoons.

The End.

Falling ratings. That's sad, when the show only ran one more season anyway. Last I read, they weren't sure (but thought) season 11 would be the final year. Maybe if they knew for sure, they would have at least put Fonzie & Ashley back together for the end of the series.
