Hi, I`m new to this board. and this is my first post. Sorry it`s morbid, but I`d like to know if freddie had an open coffin or closed? I don`t mean to be morbid but I always wondered.

That is a very good question. I'd never thought of that. I think in his moms book she says his casket was covered with lots of flowers. So I wonder if that means it was closed. Hopefully someone knows. On message boards someone will ask something you never thought to ask & you think wow, I'd always wondered that! Oh & welcome!

Not to be morbid also, but I've always wondered whether they shaved all his hair off in the hospital...does anyone know?

To Anna, Croiter and others: I read in the book by Freddie's Mom that when she first entered his hospital room, she noticed that they had bandaged him to such an extent after the surgery, but that yes, they had shaved his head. I do not know for certain, but feel that it probably was a closed casket service. I agree, this is a good question though.

I think I read too that they shaved his pretty hair off. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/frown.gif I think when people get shot too bad up for people to view them they have closed casket. I wonder if they had a visiting at the funeral home the nite before like they usually do?
