I played 2 instruments, I used to play the paino until my paino teacher moved to another town, so I played the paino for about 5 years. I also played the trumpet in my school's band, Marching band, pep band and Jazz band from 5-12 grade. Also my family, we used to play our instruments at christmas for our family get togethers, see my dad played the gituar, my mom played the paino, I played the trumept and my brother played the Tenor Sax. I loved doing that.

My advice to all of you: don't give it up, stick with it. Take it from someone who has been there and knows: you will regret giving it up later.

Oh no. I don't play one now. I used to have to play one of those flute kind of instruments. It isn't a flute, can't remember what it's called. A recorder, that's what it's called I think. Yeah, that sounds right.

Those things were kind of difficult to learn how to play. They were noisy little suckers too. If you blew too much, it would sound like a deformed honking duck or something. We had to play those in 5th grade music class. I remember some guys would throw them up in the air and of course they wouldn't catch them and they would break. Of course it was prob. like this. We play okay for about a minute and a half and then we all honked or something. lol

I'm not sure if there's ever been a thread for this. If there was, I don't remember and I apologize.

Soooo, I started playing clarinet at 10 years old, played that for 8 years in our symphonic band and marching band(which I loved!!) in high school.

Then, my mom bought a piano when I was 15 and had me start taking lessons, and I still play piano to this day. I have my own piano and just got it paid off!!

Dutabi84

I started to play piano at about 7 years old, and continued taking lessons until I was about 15. I wish I took lessons for longer, being able to play piano is very gratifying. Plus I've found some sheetmusic that I'd like to play.

In band at school, I played the baritone. Band was good times. :)

I've recently started to play guitar. I have an acoustic and electric. I took lessons for a little while, but then I moved. So there.

Flute. I've played it since sixth grade, so that would be eleven years ago. I've also taken lessons in several other instruments, and can tinker around on the piano, bassoon, dulcimer, and guitar. But the flute and piccolo are the ones I really play.

i've played a number of instruments, i started playing guitar at 13, started out with clarinet in band, then finally got to switch to the upright bass in the school jazz band, i played guitar and bass in various bands throughout my twenties,

I also learned to play my brother's drums along the way, and ukelele and (some) banjo (most difficult instrument IMO)

We now have a piano, but i dont play it as much as the cats do.

We had to be in Band in 5th and 6th grade, i played the trombone in 5th and the trumpet in 6th, I hated both.

I can play Mary had a Little Lamb on the keyboard and can play the tune on a piano, as well. I think somebody else posted that they, too, hated their piano lessons. I actually liked them and I had a pretty nice teacher, too. It might have something to do with the fact that I already knew how to read music when I started my lessons from playing clarinet. I knew the treble clef, then when my mom bought the piano, she also bought the Liberace Song Book, for herself a musicbook with big notes and the letters were written on the notes but I taught myself the bass clef with that book. When I started my lessons, I remember my teacher being taken aback that I could already read music. So that was less for her to do!

Oh, I LOVED playing clarinet!! I played it from when I was 10 years old to about 20(college & community bands). Played it all through middle school & high school and even made all-county band in my senior year!! I loved band, too, especially marching band. I was such a band geek!!
