After three seasons of featuring just male perpetrators, we already know the perfect female serial killer that Netflix's Monsters should cover next.
Ryan Murphy has been considering a Luigi Mangione Monster season, but won’t do one for serial killer Ted Bundy (https://variety.com/2025/tv/features/charlie-hunnam-ed-gein-monster-interview-1236534076/)
“We have a ‘maybe one day’ file,” Murphy tells Variety, noting that he considered a Monster season about Mangione, who is accused of gunning down UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson on a New York City street last December, but deemed it too early to proceed. “We know nothing about him,” he says. On ruling out Bundy, Murphy says: “When you look at those crimes, what are the themes there? It doesn’t ask you any questions about society.”
