TV Guide suggested Mario Lopez (Slater) as a perfect candidate to play Will's lover.

Mario Lopez is not Gay. And to prove it, he's been with Ali Landry (the model/actress) for a couple of years now. And if he was gay, there is no need to mock him like the way you sounded. Just my opinion... and by the way I feel he would do a fine job if he were casted on the very highly critiqued show "Will and Grace". He is an excellent and charming actor. (And let's not forget a hottie too!) Go Mario!! I am sure we will see more of him very soon. :-)

LOL It was never purposed to him by NBC executives. It was just a poll TV GUIDE decided to make asking fans to vote on who they think should and could play "Will's" boyfriend on the show.

Erika I can understand where you're coming from but, if Mario has had people saying he was gay when he wasn't or isn't then I believe he should stay away from those type roles. He already did a TV movie on the famous swimmer and I can bet my bottom dollar he had tongues wagging because he chose that role. Even if it's just acting.... The media and newspapers keep on harping that Tom Cruise is gay but, you rarely see him starring in a movie or project or in a gay role. I for one do not think Mario is gay. He played the role of the swimmer to the hilt and he should've gotten an Emmy for his role. He blew me away.

The guy who stars in the show "Six feet under" is happily married and he has a starring role as a gay man. I'm sure people think in real life he's Gay even if he's a happily married man in real life.
