Welcome to Screenplay or Bust, your one-stop shop for all things movies. In this week’s throwback video, we’ll be jumping back in time to the 1960s, as we take a deeper look at Batman(1966): The Movie, starring Adam West and Burt Ward. As we look closer at both the Batman TV Series and Movie, we’ll discuss how they both became so campy, where that camp can be seen within the film itself, and why Batman’s campiness helped to create its legacy as a lighter, but still timeless iteration of the beloved Dark Knight. For the sake of this video, “camp” refers to the theatrical and over-the-top elements in the movie that add to its overall outrageousness and humor.
